I have Chad Johnson on one fantasy team and need a QB since I just have Aaron Brooks and Leftwitch as my QBs.
The trade I am thinking about making is with a guy that has Trent Green (his starter), Hasselback, and Farve as his QBs, but he's weak at WR.
I would replace Chad Johnson with Javon Walker and Darell Jackson is my other starting WR. Would you make this deal?
This is a single season league, not keeper, right?
Yeah...single season. Not a keeper. And since Carson is the QB and he's ???, that's why I thought I could offer him now and get Hasselback.
Is it 1QB, 2RB, 2WR? What is the scoring system?
I think you may be fine with Brooks.
It's a QB, 2 RB 2 WR 1 RB/QB and only a 6 person league.
My team:
QB A. Brooks (NO - QB)
WR C. Johnson (Cin - WR)
WR C. Chambers (Mia - WR)
RB L. Tomlinson (SD - RB)
RB D. McAllister (NO - RB)
TE T. Gonzalez (KC - TE)
WR/RB C. Portis (Was - RB)
BN D. Jackson (Sea - WR)
BN J. Walker (GB - WR)
BN T. Henry (Buf - RB)
BN B. Leftwich (Jac - QB)
BN K. Jones (Det - RB)
BN I. Bruce (StL - WR)
BN M. Bennett
I would keep Chad Johnson. Why not try to get Favre (since he is his 3rd QB) and float him an offer Isaac Bruce and Leftwich for Favre and ? (weak WR on his team)?
Brooks is a good fantasy QB except come December. It may be a good idea to get a Favre although Leftwich has more upside, he is still a very young QB and has not looked good in TC or preseason.
I completely agree with Philly_Crew
Yeah Brooks is a solid fantasy QB.
Last 3 years he's had 24, 26, and 27 TDs respectively.
whereas Trent Green has only had 24, 26, 17. Yes Trent has thrown for a couple hundred yards more each season, but what is that 8 points spread throughout the entire season, Priest Holmes takes away all of Green's TDs, and although some (MURP ;)) think Green is some great fantasy QB, he really isn't more than above average as an overall fantasy player)
Last year Brooks had a 59.1% completion rate, and had 24 TDs and only 8 INTs.
Brooks has good WRs, a solid TE, and an all-world RB who not only is a great rushing back, but also caught 69 passes last season.
Don't give up Chad Johnson IMO unless you package him with someone else and pick up someone big time.
hey, I got Brooks and Bulger in my other league.

[joking] Bulger sucks ;), Orlando Pace is holding out, and Kyle Turley has back problems, not to mention that Faulk is questionable. :D :-X [/joking]

Good luck with that. ;) :P
Actually having Brooks and Bulger is very solid depth at the QB position. Brooks for 3 years running has shown to be a good fantasy QB as long as you have strength in other areas, i.e. having better RBs than Kevin Jones and Kevan Barlow. :D
yeah keep talking, thats all its gonna be after I whoop up on you fools, a bunch of talk!

while i love mcnabb and wouldnt want any other QB in the nfl on the eagles...he is a TERRIBLE fantasy QB...he's not worth taking before the 4th round. he doesnt throw many TDs in a season. he's not even top 10 in QBs in fantasy numbers. and he has so few 300 yard games, it's kinda laughable to see how his stats are so unreflective of his talents.
maybe that changes with TO this season. but match him up based on numbers alone and you see that mcnabb is nothing to be afraid of in the world of fantasy football.
