you keep it up El Chuggie. Im the one who has to enter the final roster in Yahoo. Id hate for you to have Eli Manning as your only QB. ;D
MURP....don't make me contact the FF Gods....if that happens and you did that....Manning my throw for 50 touchdowns not only enabling me to win the season...but also jeopardize the Eagles season as well. So trying to influence the universal balance is not recommended.
according to your fantasy football record over the years, the FF gods dont give a rats ass about you. ;)

Sorry fellas. After I review who is available and select my first out of my seven kick ass players, I will be sure to IM MURP a list.
and yes, you guys can send a list in if you are not going to be around. Chuck and Thawk already have.
I'm off work until Monday so I'll be checking in periodically, while probably staying logged in.

lol, it was between Davis, Bennett, and Fred Taylor. I figured with the Vikes backfield and Taylor's injury history (combined with Toefield) that Davis was the best available back.
I wanted Bennett....but it may be better that I got Fred Taylor (if he can stay healthy) with all those RBs in Minn...

You kinda farged me up too because I had planned on taking Akers with my pick. I'll gladly trade with you if you'd like. :)

I'll be sending a big list to Murp with instructions at the end of the day since I'm not sure when I'll be on over the weekend. Working on putting a list of 50 "target" players together as we speak...

Yeah, Faulk didn't do a whole lot for me last year with his injuries and this year is questionable too. I actually thought about dropping him before this season but the potential rewards far outweight the risk. And since I was able to pick up Garner, I think I got a pretty solid starter incase Faulk goes down.

Not many people are taking TEs....interesting...
Not a shock, really. I mean, unless you have a one of maybe two guys...pretty much any TE will do in a given week. I mean, how much was Shockey touted last year? And all that for two TDs during the whole season? If I get one in the draft, I get one...but I'm not sweating it.
But there are still some good TEs that could mean the difference in a game...since you can only field so many RBs and WRs. Don't you want to build the BEST team, not the best collection of RBs and WRs??? I think Winslow is going to be a stud in Cleveland, espicially since Garcia loves "tight ends."
On a side note Suggs was gonna be my next pick...I thought people forgot about the potential impact he could have this year in Cleveland...

Thomas Jones sucks; A-Train doesn't suck quite as much. Of course, neither suck as much as the suckiest suck to ever suck at football, Trotter.
I know where Winslow went cuz I picked him ;D thus my comment on him. I was just surprized to come back and still see some of the top TEs still on the board...
As far as T. Jones and the A-train in Chi-town are concerned - I would stay away from both of them unless there are no RBs left. Both are most likely going to be splittting carries and one of them will emerge by mid-season. It's just a 'pick a hand' type choice and hope you get lucky....
I don't know. T. Jones avg'd close to five yards a carry at the end of last year, and Chicago didn't give him a bunch of money for nothing. And they've been trying to get away from A. Train for the last two years. Worth a gamble.
I would pick T. Jones over A-train, but A-train has had his moments of productivity.
I just hope my TJ Duckett pick doesn't turn into Ron Dayne....which has be baffled as to why he hasn't been picked yet ;)

I was already set with T. Holt and C. Chambers so I an afford to take fliers on players I like.
Homo...I do have to agree that that was a little early for Booker, esp. considering that there are tons of questions about the Chicago offense with Rex Grossman at the helm.
im going to be fairly busy , so I cant be on here checking on things as much as necessary today.
Well we're not going to get another pick for 5 hrs since Miss Chugula is now up. I was just hoping in making my next 2 picks today without having to submit a 'list'.
While the list worked to my expectations so far, it's getting to a crucial point in the draft since a lot of good players are gone and you have to distinguish between crap, players with potential to perform this year, and solid backups.

Oh yeah, I was also hoping to land with my last 4 picks either one, or both, of Suggs and Buckhalter. bitches.
I need some feedback on my pick of LJ. I know TE's aren't valued high unless they grab 60+ catches, 800+ yards and at least 6 TDs. I think LJ can be that type of player*. 8)
*hopefully
TEs are almost meaningless unless you have Gonzalez. Most average about 3.5 pts per game and I think you can expect that from Smith.
And that's why you've finished last the past 2 years T-hawk.
TEs are VERY important and often over-looked. You try to build the strongest team possible and when you look at match-ups, usually QB/RB/WR are close to being even or one team having a slight edge. But if a TE can put up 6-10 points in a close match, it makes all the difference. While QB and RB are the most important and productive, TE is crucial when it comes down to competitive matchups.
I'd rather have my starters including a stud TE then a roster filled with average fantasy RBs and WRs....
Also, el Chugo needs to submit a list. :P

And that's why you've won the past two years? ???
No...last year I sucked because of injuries at WR/TE and a kicker that put up 1pt a game if I was lucky. However, the year before that I finished 2nd.... ;D
My team sucked last year because both Martin & Dillon had off years. This year I think Dillon should do well with the Patsies and Davis will get his with the Panthers.
Davis may get some carries taken away from him tho if DeShaun Foster continues to develop....
The Problem with starting TE's unless you have Gonzalez or Heap is they just get yds and not TD's. Down inside the 5 yd line a RB, 2nd or 3rd string TE will get the TD.

Because it is my last pick and I want to be able to look at EVERYBODY that has already been taken and then deliberate on whom I will take.
In other words, he's too lazy to type out a list.
Naw...I agree with him. I would rather look at my list of 'targets' and pick from it rather then using a list for my last pick. Although I am eyeing up someone that if he is there when I pick, a list would work...even though the list would then only include one player...

Hey Homohawk, how's it going?
Yeah, I'm gonna have to ask you guys to express your man love toward each other else where, mmmmkay? If you could handle that, that'd be super. Thaaaanks.
QuoteExccccellent strategy...for drafting someone who will never see the field for you. Actually, looking at your roster...he might.
Hey, they'll be good enough to beat you, Mr. Z. And my last pick will most likely see the field for me or for someone else...granted that my guy is still there. He has "potential".
Picked this up in the fantasy section.
QuotePhiladelphia Eagles: Gone are the days Terrell Owens will be considered a first-round pick in fantasy drafts. Owens is still a fine player, but his move to Philadelphia is not likely to help his stats. The Eagles will still throw to Owens more than their other options, and he should score 10 TDs, but he'll also face many double teams and need to hone his blocking skills, for this remains a running team. Draft Owens as your top receiver, but realize his numbers are likely to go down due to circumstance.

Pretty much everyone still out there has "potential."

For this remains a running team? Eh, okay. More accurate to say that they spread the ball around.

I want to comment on this but cannot for fear of letting my pick out of the bag before I'm up.
Actually, there are a handful of guys out there who could have a legitimate impact. I almost took one...but i can get that position elsewhere in a pinch.
Seeing that I left my "list" at work and T-hawk won't be back on until then....I guess I'll need to wait to make my pick. Recent developments have me having to decide between a handful of players....EG, Chris Brown, Antowain Smith, to name a few...
I was going to take Chris Brown thinking he was going to replace Tenn...but rumor has it A. Smith is going to be signed.

Let me help you with that complex decision. ;)

Chris Brown
That's from the 4th round.
Crap...I didn't think anyone took him yet. Now I really need to wait until tomorrow to check out my list. I was targetting a RB but I may go WR now....not like it matters since Thawk is after me and then all the other players go on waivers...
here is a thought im gonna throw out there. Would you guys like to start 3 RB's and 3WR's in our keeper league? I think it would be fun because we have all these extra players on our rosters and most of them will never be used for anything barring massive injuries. Let me know if you like that idea or if you have another idea for starting more of our players.
Looking at my roster I would have to say "no"....that's what the flex position is for.
It makes it more interesting and harder on each "coach" since tough decisions are involved week to week to determine who to start, etc. And in a lot of cases (I know I lost a bunch this way last year) if you mess up by starting the wrong guy and you're bench player performs better, you lose for the fact that you 'played' the wrong guy.
To be honest, I like this element of fantasy football - of making decisions that involve football and determine the success of my season. Granted some are bad decisions, but it's still fun to think about. Adding another WR/RB to the mix would take more coaching errors out of determining the games...which fantasy football is about playing the "coach" with real players week in and week out.
so we are using a "Flex" position starter this year? My mind is so boggled from trying to keep track of everything i cant remember.
If you want to start more players, add a flex or two, please.
Yeah...at least that's how we've done it in the past:
QB
RB
RB
WR
WR
WR/RB (flex)
TE
K
Def
ok, I forgot about the flex there for a moment. I will just keep it the same as before with 1 flex starter. Thanks mikey.
2 flex's would be cooler. farg the rules...tweak it so that we can make our 2nd stringers contribute. It would be fun as hell! :D
