if this were the middle of the season id be more worried but im not sure how deep strider/fried/sale are going to go. phils should have 10-12 innings vs the bullpen.

but on paper man its some bad matchups for them

Last week I moved a big call to this morning at 9:30 thinking the game was Thursday and Friday off day, so we'll be well into the game. Poor woman going to wonder why I'm uttering 'farging icehole, you piece of shtein, little bitch, etc." under my breath.

Now we can officially begin the deluge of our wrath on the bums for 2024.  This will be my 52nd opening day, wasn't quite aware the Phillies existed my first 10 years.

Had this conversation with local Philly friends - total wins, who is going to really make the big step forward, who will stink up the joint discussion, etc.

88 - 94 range on wins, no one had them winning the division.
I told them not a big fan of what happens during spring training but not impressed with the bats.  No one really stepped up this spring.  Expecting another slow, frustrating start out the gates.

Player ready to be a star - most said Ranger, can't argue.  I said Stott.

Player who will struggle - few Nola comments and concerns but hands down consensus was Castellanos.

Bullpen surprise - Hoffman got my vote, couple liked Kerkering.  I think the AZ series messed him up.

Bullpen nightmare - 100% Soto, need I say more

Harper's back - 50/50 on if that will be an issue all season. I believe it will be.

Playoffs - Not one WS prediction, most were NLDS appearence and adios.
