The more I look at the Lakers roster I can't see how they dont win the title. This isn't Heat territory where there is a bunch of moving parts that are pieced together and hope it works.

From the PG down to the likely 6th man of the year Jamison they have the perfect starting 5 at each position.

Doing a bet against a Heat repeat would seem to have value IMO. Wade a year older, both Lakers and Thunder lurking in the west.

Except that their newly acquired center won't be on the court for a month or 2 and who knows how his back will be when he gets back. 1 thing is for certain and it's that unlike Tommy John surgery which can make your arm stronger, back surgery doesn't yield the same results. Howard is young, so he can probably bounce back from it better than most but if he's not fully recovered, or if he has lingering issues, then the Lakers are going to have a really hard time stopping teams around the rim. And Nash on the court is an open invitation for dribble penetration. 

But I do agree that if Howard comes back fine, the Lakers 1-6 is the most complimentary group of players in the league.
