My buddy who was a Phillie fan but renounced fanship when he moved to Maryland because he believes you support the teams close to where you live sends me a text laughing about this and how they are melting down. He is now an Orioles "fan".

This I don't get either.  It's one thing if you want to root for the team in your new town, but not really sure how you can mock the team you grew up rooting for.  But if dook wants to watch the basement dwellers in bodymore, then farg it.  Doesn't bother me one bit.

You should hear him when it comes to the Eagles now that he is a Ravens "fan". And a Caps "fan" too. I bought him a customized player t-shirt with a #1 and FRAUD-FAN on the back. NHL.com wouldn't allow just FRAUD.
