Jayson Werth = dumbshtein of the game award winner. That error allowing the extra base and getting picked off first was mother farging dumb.

I am SO sick and tired of hearing this Big Game Shields and the comments from the teat sucking media afterwards about living up to the nickname.

you could magnify about 100 different situations and at bats out of this game where the phillies epically failed.

one thing they might not be able to overcome is tampa having 2-3 solid lhp out of the pen. choke and utley cant really hit lhp, especially lefty specialists late in games. dobbs cant touch them. this has been the case all year. theyve won despite it. it could hurt them, it could not. we'll see. but its something thats out there.

but on the bright side, they come home 1-1 and tampa did not beat them tonight. the phillies beat themselves with pos play in the field and god awful at bats with risp. youve got to like their chances to at least head back to tampa up 3-2. we all knew this wasnt gonna be a cake walk.
