The league is up and invites have been sent to the returning players. *Please let me know if you are OUT this year.*
I have proposed a $20 buy in. Have received no complaints yet. Will likely ignore any complaints anyway.

4. Rick and his kids - hbionic
5. Astroglide - rjs246
6. Philly Crew - Philly Crew
7. GOB's Illusion - SunMo

Do work. Slacker.
It goes without saying, of course, but I am open to trades.

Hm. Let me think on that a bit...
Did you send the invites via PM or email? Never got a PM if that's the case and I can't check my yahoo mail until I get back from deployment. In other words, don't expect me to "officially" sign up or post my roster/keepers until somewhere around Aug 1.

I'd rather not play for money since at least one person didn't pay me for the CFFFL league I won last year.
Also, I'll give my 2nd round pick for Brees

First, there are only 8 of us in this league so no one should have to worry about being stiffed. But having said that if people are instistant upon it being free I won't overrule. I'll just mock.
If I take a second rounder for a QB it will be for Schaub. Definitely not for Brees.
With only 8 people, my 2nd rounder is essentially a 1st rounder since it will be the 9th pick.
I'll play for money but if I lose I'm not paying
who didn't pay you after CFFL?

actually, with keeping 7 players, your 2nd round pick is like a 9th round pick

Don't bother, I'll get it when I get back. The ship's internet blocks you from signing into yahoo, gmail, etc, etc, so even if you gave me the info via PM, I still can't sign into my yahoo acct to register for the league. Have another beer instead.

Yep - $20 with 10 total teams

Getting gypped out of fantasy winnings is second only to people welching on bets. Awful.
We will do everything we can to ensure that type of bullshtein doesn't happen. I know that SunMo, Dio and I are good about payment if the past is any indication. I can't speak for anyone else.

As per usual, I volunteer to take over a team if someone fails to show up in time.

I'm really not worried about it. The chances of my team winning are fairly slim and getting $140 or $160 or whatever last year was better than sending somebody an anthrax laced twenty (albeit getting the full $180 would have been even better)

Tomahawk and I have agreed to the following trade, which will be finalized on Draft Day:
Astroglide gets: Tomahawk's second round pick (first pick of the second round)
Flying Flatuses gets: Matt Schaub, QB Hou

I was too lazy to go back and read anything you may have posted in regards to deadlines, so I just took it upon myself to post my keepers now. Shouldn't be any changes unless someone gets injured.
Your running backs suck. You should probably trade for Matt Forte.
I'll give you this "cold sore" I picked up in Peru.
Is that secret code for 'second round pick'? If so, I accept.
That is a stunningly weak RB situation for a small league. And Forte can eat me. Had the pleasure of having him and Westbrook in a league last year. That was an awesome combo.
Anyone remember who took over my team in 2005? I left them in good shape at the time and I want to laugh at someone if they drove it into the ground.
I think it might have been me, actually. And I have done rather well. Pretty sure the only player remaining on the roster I inhereted is Randy Moss.
Yep, it was you then. Nice work. Carry on.

My first crack at keepers pending preseason injuries/deaths. Taking offers in exchange for a RB.
You may have problems at the WR position. Just sayin'.
i'd like to take this moment to emphasize how retarded it is to have the draft on Sunday night of Labor Day weekend.
agreed...whoever the commish of this shteinshow is should be shot
You all wish you had my commish skills. Feel free to auto-draft, bitches.

You jackasses know that if you can't make the draft you should tell me so I can change it, right? I mean, the date has been up for a few weeks now... buttholes.

I was trying to make it more difficult for Russell because he's a sissy girl who can't put down a bottle of whiskey without blowing it out his ass in the middle of the night. Farg you for being so orderly. Go run some errands you stupid errand runner.
I can run errands all day. No arthritis to slow me down.
It would be nice if Dio could make a list of available players based on the keeper list.
Dio, you think you can make that an errand of yours to run?
I could, but I detect a tone of mockery in your request, and I simply won't be fooled with. I am a man of consequence!
Dear Mr. Medes,
I apologize about any tone that may have been 'mis-confused' as mockery. I do most of my reading on a site called www.concretefield.info. and thus has affected my ability to speak, read, and write. As an example, I say 'farg' without thinking about it. My brain is slowly dying. I do not want to prematurely induce a consequence.

rjs,
Now that everyone has their keepers submitted, are you able to load the rosters so that we can look at the remaining pool of players before the draft, or does all that crap have to wait until after?
I can, and will, but am traveling at the moment and have no time to dedicate to your ff research preferences. Hopefully it will get done tonight. If not, then tomorrow. Or Thursday. Maybe. Shut up.
Thank you, ma'am.

and i'm not seeing anywhere to check for the keepers assigned to my team, unless you check the master player list, which i certainly won't put in the time to do.

Is there a reason Astroglide doesn't have picks in the 14th and 15th rounds?
Trades, roster limits and yahoo rules. Each team has to have exactly 15 draft picks.
Phreak will be one player short when the draft is over (because he didn't keep a rookie) and I will give him first pick of the remaining free agents.
I will have to autodraft. I'm still in PA and will be getting wrecked this evening at a bonfire party.
Autodraft does a better job than you anyway
My internets went out for about an hour and now I can't get in the draft. Farg.
nm
My internet is working fine.
Going to mix up a g&t now. Load the pipe up. Get some music going in the headphones..
And watch half this league autodraft...lol.
ha! It just finally let me in the draft room. I'm super duper excited! I'm laying off the booze though....I got shtein faced at Chuggie's birthday party last night. Pretty sure I got raped too.
Just finished my real league draft. I have like 3 beers left in the house so this better go fast.
Also, words can not explain how happy I am that we are finally putting money on this shtein you farging deadbeats.
farging Yahoo.
Phreak, since you did such a terrible job of putting your team together last year, you didn't have enough keepers and yahoo gave you the top pick to make up for it. Obviously, that shtein ain't for real. THawk drafted some scrub who you will trade Mathews for. Then you'll get first pick of the leftovers.
Well that was predictably retarded, but THawk did the league a solid by drafting McNabb last and screwing Phreak out of getting him off the waiver wire.
Also, auto-draft completely hosed Phreak. Embarrassingly.
lmao
Phreak will have to wait until week 7 when Schaub goes on bye and I actually have to play another QB
So good.
nm
Ok, I will put in my waiver claim today.
SO autodraft boned me, eh? WHat happened?
You got screwed. Also, I see that RJS got a second rounder from T-Hawk for Schaub but how did he get two 1st rounders (Shonne Green and Jahvid Best)? Or are you getting Shonne Green Phreak since you were supposed to have the second pick?
I traded Steve Slaton to Phreak last year for his first round pick this year. Which has been discussed repeatedly.

Who wants to give me their #1 pick next year for Kevin Smith?
In his defense, Slaton was a hot commodity leading up to last season. And he was coming off of his rookie season which carries more value in this league.
Still, highway robbery. I wonder if he would like to have Shonn Greene or Javhid Best on his roster right now...
I wonder if you'd like a black eye, mister?!

someday charlie, maybe you'll face me in a fantasy league, and when I'm done with you, you'll want to quit too

Don't get me wrong, I love that I robbed phreak blind in that trade, but it's not like it was obvious at the time that he was getting jobbed. Everyone agreed that it was fair, it just so happened that it was a huge coup for me.
Of course, I used that pick to draft Fumbles McGoo so maybe it wasn't such a coup after all...
Yeah, it's not like I traded for Eric McCoo or something. Slaton was doing well. Jerks.
They should have never given Foster a chance... Because Slaton's a proven vet.
Nice try.

I'm open to more or less anything but would prefer draft picks.
me and phreak have a qb battle tonight...not feeling good with Cutler against Rodgers
but i'm glad he left Vick and his 38 points on the bench.
Why would he have Vick on his team if he wasn't going to play him against the Jaguars? Ha.
Because I expected Rodgers to have a better shot at putting up big passing numbers.
I'm down 15 to Chuggie but have Jennings and GB defense going tonight and Chuggies done so I'm feeling pretty good about my chances. Still....would have been nice had I played Spillers and/or Thomas Jones.
McFadden and Maclin have been very steady producers in the early going for me.
And Rusty has taken a .82 lead.
F you!
you deserve the beat down
Yeah? And why do I deserve a whippin?
'cause you ain't me
Well yeah. I suppose that is as good of a reason as any.
I'm down 6 to SunMo. Should have played Derrick Mason instead of Maclin and I'd have this thing wrapped up.
Guess I can't really count on Ronnie Brown for the rest of the game since I doubt the Fish will do much running and with a 20 point lead in the 4th and I don't know how much more Brady will throw. That blocked fg/return for TD really hurt me.
i don't know why i picked up Green-Ellis and then didn't play him, either way i'll take the W
Arian Foster was a farging money pick for you.

ahh yes, carry on.
I had a pretty monster week this week but T-hawk had a monsterer week so I lost.
What made that win even better for me is in another league I had Maclin and Calvin Johnson playing and won that game too
I'm down 30 to PhillyCrew and Darren McFadden and his 43 points are sitting comfortably on my bench. The only positive I can come up with here is that he still has Tony Romo going tonight so even if I had started McFadden, I'd only be ahead by 13 points and I'm pretty sure Romo will have no problem putting that on the board. My team is awful.
Yeah DMac and Turner are on the bench in my $$ league. Turner was a mistake and I deserve to lose.
I have a 2pt lead over Dio in the keeper and we each have a Giant playing (Me- Smith, Dio- Bradshaw)
So it turns out that Romo only had 7 pts when he got knocked out of the game. FML. And farg the injury report for listing McFadden as questionable.

I'm looking to trade Tony Gonazalez (or maybe Jason Witten) for a mid round draft pick if anyone needs a good TE.
The truth is that I'm open to trading a lot of my roster for draft picks if anyone is interested.

Why does this bullshtein involve me? farg you.
So I'll take that as a no to the trade proposal that I emailed to you you salty sonofabitch.
That's your problem. I don't read emails in that account. It's for stupid shtein like Fantasy Football. I saw your message here, checked Yahoo! Fantasy and didn't see a trade proposal there (other than an option to vote "no" on your deal with SunMo), so I had no idea what you're crying about.
I'll check the email and get back to you asap Princess.
Okay so now I've checked your offer. It sucks. Go pound sand.
Consider my sand pounded. But don't pretend like that wasn't a perfectly fair offer. What are you going to do, keep Hernandez after this season? Please.
It was a perfectly idiotic offer.
What am I gonna do in a Keeper league:
a.) trade away a valuable draft pick for an old ass TE who to this point this season has posted only two games with 40+ yards, and who has caught only 3TDs.
or
b.) hang on to my rookie TE who gets just as many looks, has more yards, almost as many TDs (2) AND keep my draft pick
Yeah.
I'm perfectly happy trading Witten as well, smart guy. But Hernandez is good and stuff.
He's nothing great, obviously, but he's easily as good as Gonzo or Witten this year, and TEs hardly matter at all in this league anyway.
OK so you're fine with keeping a subpar player on your roster in a keeper league. You could have just said that from the beginning, dingis.
My subpar players swept you this year, and I'm the reigning champ. I'm doing alright.
Good luck finding a sucker to swindle draft picks from.
Thanks for the well wishes.
Youze guys are neato.
Rjs thinks he's the god of everything. Just because he ripped off our beloved fantasy football mongoloid, he thinks he's the patriots front office. I've got news for you Rjs...you're as ugly on the inside as you are hot on the outside. These two topics are not mutually exclusive. FTW.
First of all, I am the god of everything.
Second of all, I'm offering keeper-quality players for mid-round draft picks. It isn't like I'm trying to pull off another Steve Slaton bonanza.
Third, stop being so cyber-sexy you hairy Afghan.
I hope you choke on that farging bonanza!
At this point, that seems rather unlikely. But your prolonged bitterness is greatly appreciated.
Quote from: rjs246 on November 11, 2010, 12:56:39 PMSecond of all, I'm offering keeper-quality players for mid-round draft picks.
Yes, it's true. You are looking for mid round draft picks.
Regarding the former assertion, well if the players on offer were truly quality keepers, then it stands to reason you'd be getting some deals done. Which you're not.
So.
The way I look at it, you're all scared of being embarrassed by another rjs trade and would rather keep Aaron Hernandez on your rosters than trade a fifth round pick to me. Either way, the idea that neither Gonzo nor Witten is worth a mid round pick in a league that requires you to keep a TE/K/D is laughable.
Jason Witten is white and past his prime.
Same goes for Gonzalez
Don't know what your league's scoring setting is but in a PPR league Witten is the #2 scoring TE this year
this league isn't PPR; TEs are minor players
our highest scoring TE is Gates, of course...120 points so far..after that it's a huge dropoff to the next TE at 75 points. Witten slots in 6th at 68 points.
by comparison, 28 Defenses and 8 kickers have scored more points than Witten

So thanks to my head to head wins over Phreak, I'm not eliminated from the playoffs.....yet. To get in, I gotta beat PhillyCrew and Phreak has to lose to Dio. This kinda sucks. A few short weeks ago I was staring at the first or 2nd pick and now I'm looking at drafting in the middle of every round. Time to say something dramatic.....
I am raising the stakes right now, ... If this is a poker game, I am shoving my chips right in the middle of the table. I am raising the ante. Anybody who wants out, can get out. This team is going to the playoffs. OK? This team is going to the playoffs.

Down goes the #1 seed!
Dio and me next week.
Problem is that Philip Rivers and Andre Johnson? My studs in my $$$ FFL...and I am in the champ game in that league too.
Congrats. Forte is an enigma from week to week.
Phreak's winning score over phillycrew: 123.21
My winning score over SunMo: 123.22
why must you torment me so?
I'll beat you next year too.
Quote from: PhillyPhreak54 on December 20, 2010, 11:43:58 PMDio and me next week.
game day, Bubby. This looks close.
Gore went down weeks ago and now MJD is all but out, so my championship game RBs are likely to be: Blount, Rashad Jennings, and whichever NYG RB I subbed in the last time I changed my mind before 1 o'clock.
With Andre Johnson questionable with a capital 'q', I added...wait for it....Kevin Walter to fill in. Scary good. I wisely left Fitz on the bench--who woulda thunk it would ever be wise to bench a healthy Fitz??---so my WRs for this game will likely be Kevin Walter and Mike Williams of Tampa Bay. Yay me.
My likely starters:
Rivers @ Cin
Jennings v. Washington
Blount v. Seattle
Bradshaw @ Green Bay
Walter @ Denver
Mike Williams v. Seattle
Cooley @ Jacksonville
Vinatieri @ Oakland
New England @ Buffalo
======================
If I win, I'd like to thank
SunMo for the beatdowns which he suffered against my inferior, lucky team.
Time to get it on.
I'm still undecided on my QB and may leave Freeman in there since Seattle is so crappy.
Jamaal Charles alone is gonna win this thing for you at this pace.
Guess we will have to wait and see until Tuesday because I have two Eagles going.

Early on, you're already liking the decision to go with Rodgers.
Yeah, although Freeman has played pretty well too.
Still pretty close. Rivers having a dumper of a game is whats killing you (and me in my other Champ game).
Rivers shat the bed. Andre Johnson and MJD suddenly hurt and out. Got no help from my replacements for these guys = lose.
Congrats Phreak. I don't see any way Akers and Jackson fail to give you the 8 points you need.
Your luck finally ran out
Oh well. Not a bad showing considering our draft was not serpentine so as last year's champ I had the last pick each time.
My grandpop told me to never count money until its in my hands...so I appreciate the congrats but I won't be happy until those points come through.
Your grandpop was no dummy.

2 points from Jackson (or 4 if its PPR) and 2 points from Akers...so 4 or 6 points.
Ouch Phreak :-D
Has this league had a repeat champ before me?
i don't think anyone has been as lucky as you before, no
Which loss are you still sore over, the first time I beat you, or the second time?
REPEAT CHAMP.
Thanks for the money, SunMo.
Send address. I have Hector and Wayne's cash to deliver as well as my own.
And my own to return to me, no? Did I pay in for this league already?
Uh, no. I didn't collect, those two clowns just gave me their money in Nashville under the assumption that they wouldn't win because their teams were terrible.
Idiots.
oh bff dio, i'm just messing with you, you're the bestest champion ever.
scoring 200 points less than me and beating me twice has nothing to do with luck, you're just that good
Wow. Sun is bitter and whatnot.
Quote from: rjs246 on December 28, 2010, 11:38:13 PMUh, no.
I checked, you are correct. I'm confusing this league with others I pre-paid on.
im really not bitter...i love dio. if i had to give my money to anyone it would be to him. after aids babies of course
only a goddamn idiot would give money to aids babies
Congrats Dio.
A stinging defeat.
I wasn't counting on it because Jackson is so streaky.
Couple this lost cash with the lost cash from only finishing second in my other league and I went from possibly pocketing $560 to only pulling in $200.
Send me your address and I will send your money when I get back to the States.
im not actually handing the money to the aids babies, i'm giving it to the mafia warlords to provide food and water to the people

It saved me 40some cents in postage.
Who's the idiot now, biatch?
Stop bringing your girl to games, butthole!
I would like to know a reason why you would call me an idiot. Not all the reasons, just one.
Because you're an idiot.
bow before the CF Keeper king.
2010 Champion
2009 Champion
2008 4th place (ouch)
2007 2nd place
2006 Champion
sunny must just not try in that league cause he knows what hes doing...as for the rest of the league whoever is in it...those results are beyond embarrassing
oh i try...farging dio has horsehoe up his ass.
i was 10-4 and outscored the closest team by 175 points
then lose to dio in the first round.
fluke is one year maybe...but that dopey errand runner has three firsts and a second in the last five years...its a joke
if it wasnt an awful keeper league (and probably has flex positions) id get in just to win a few extra bucks every year
well he did the same thing to me last year. i've only been in for 3 years.
in short, don't blame me for this lucky farg.
Losers always have some reason why.
Winners just win.
I own you.
PM me the address you want the cash sent or I'll assume it's to:
Lucky Sumbitch
777 Fortuitous Street
Providential, MA
Yeah send it there, they just re-route directly to me.
Who's the Commish? Please reinstate the ability to pick up players
I'm the commish. And no. Can't pick up players once the season is over. Same for every league I've ever been in.
Yeah I forgot to pick up Dallas Clark (so I can drop shteinbag Witten) and Steve Smith (NYG) for keepers. Please amend my roster accordingly.
No. Why would you be allowed to pick those players up when you dropped them during the season?
same reason he's allowed to wear douchebag hats in bars and hit on his friends' moms
I didn't drop either of them. I believe I can pick up anybody on the waiver wire; just forgot to do it before the season ended
What about the other people in the league who "forgot" to do that? Why don't they get a chance at some hot Dallas Clark action? Stop being an entitled shtein and put your thinking cap on for a change, you ambiguously gay twatface.
Why would I care about the other people?
Because your league commish cares about boning you all equally.
Rosters are locked for the off-season as soon as the season ends. Up to the point where the season ends you can add and drop players as you wish. After that point you're SOL.
I forgot to start Darren McFadden that week he scored 41 points. So if you could just go ahead and make that change for me, that'd be great...m'kay?
Because as it turns out, had I started him that week, I would have won, which would have put me in the playoffs over Phreak.
And that means that had I made the playoffs, I would have faced PhillyCrew in the first round.....where I scored 104.53 to his 104.5. That would have put me in the championship game against Dio, where I scored 97.29 to his 97.34. HOWEVER....if I were in the Championship Game I would have started Tom Brady and his 24.9 points over Mark Sanchez and his 14.76 points which would have given me a 10 point win over Dio.
Therefore, bow down to me because I'm your 2010 CFKL Champion.
So yeah.....just go ahead and make that change whenever you have a minute. Preferably before Saturday......that's the victory parade.
PM me your address so I can send you the check
