and yes we can change teams whenever, at least as the commish who set it up i can drop someone and they can sign right back up. and since we're doing live draft teams don't matter but yeah we would want to have one person in each division.
or maybe even better we have all 8 of us in just 2 divisions, meaning less games vs. computer and more vs. each other.
It probably would be better if we put 8 of us in the same division so there more games against each other, either way it should be fun.

I vote for All-Pro. Quarter length depends on if we do accelerated clock. I personally hate the fight for fumble option. Sometimes its accurate other times its so obviously bad. I'd just rather it be turned off.
Also I can't stand it when I play iceholes who go for it on 4th and like 5 or more. If its late in the 4th and its pretty much a no brainer then fine, but this 4th and long shtein is bullshtein. If its 4th and short and u want to gamble I'm fine with that. Let me know your thoughts on this that way we can all be on the same page.

I was thinking we should do like all NFC East and NFC South, since all of those teams play each other, we'd have basically all user vs. user games except for the 4 vs. the AFC and the other 2 randoms. so 10 user games vs. 6 computer games. if we did only one team per division we'd essentially only play like 4 user games, maybe even less, which is gay.

I just hate punting in video games but if everyone wants to play "real" games than i'm cool with that too.

- The fumble thing is gimp - turn it off.
- If you want to be a dumb ass and go for it on 4th and 9 in the first quarter, so be it.

6-8 minutes with accelerated clock goes by fast. I just played a guy last night and we both had the ball once the entire first half, but we had long drives. I guess it doesn't really matter, but I don't mind playing alittle longer so its more realistic. Maybe 9-10 mins with accelerated clock?
If you do accelerated clock you definitely want to do 9 or 10 minutes. I don't care what we do as far as teams, because if we are all one from each division it gives us a better chance of making the playoffs and playing each other. Whatever I am good with, I am just looking forward to getting this shtein started.
In. 7 or 8 minute quarters with the accel. clock would be my vote, but I don't care all that much.

yeah if you have someone for the 8th spot get him in. i'll just kick everyone from the league at some point before monday, then all you have to do is re-join with a NFC East or South team. and I did the online draft thing once before, just get into the league page at 8 on Monday and everything will be pretty self explanatory. i might have to fiddle with the timing for picks though, if we set it too high and not everyone shows up, it could take forever. but if it's too low people might not have time to scroll through and pick.

yeah tonight at 8. i sent a few invites out to people that i know have madden but no one else got back so i guess we're stuck with 7. but anyone can join at any time during the season, they just won't be able to draft their own players.

Yeah I started all that last night. Ended up paying money for upgraded cards just cause I had microsoft points and was curious. Its sort of cool, other than the fact that if you pay your team will be better. Basically another way for them to get your money. You can get players who are retired. I got a 2004 Javon Walker, 2003 Roy Williams(barf), 2007 Kris Jenkins.

Don't know what the hell happened. Signed in around 9:00, and wasn't a member of the league. Sent Mussa a message and he sent me the name, Conrete Field, when did it change? I was good yesterday. Any rate, I grabbed the Bucs and jumped in the league, and had no players....I had to draft Josh Freeman at QB. :-\
yeah it started off only giving everyone like 15 sec. per pick so everyone got all jacked up and then i had to restart the whole league with 60 seconds for picks. in my rush i spelled the name wrong, ha. you can pick any of the open teams, it'll be just as good of a lineup as any of us, if not better. but the draft is still going, so you probably won't see the teams for a little while.

so that was pretty painless minus the first 20 minutes. also i think it's great that our league in spelled wrong.

PPinDC check this link. Sign up for an account, they'll ask for your xbox live name etc...then it should recognize it and after a confirmation email or 2 you should return to that link to sign in...and you should be in.

i'm not sure, i think i have to do it myself. but as of last night there was only one game left to be played. bucs-cowboys. and there is definitely a free agent section, both on the website and the league page on xbox. on the website, go to rosters, and there is a link to add/drop players.

Mussa and I played. I managed to win by double digits, yet controlled the clock for a scant 5 minutes and threw for a measly 58 yards. Nifty trick. Turnovers are a whore. All kidding aside, he played a good game...just one of those things. Not everyday your backup DT is player of the game.
LOL. All true. FYI, Drew Brees can't catch a 300 LB DT he went 80 yards...TD. In all fairness, that one was a fluke play, but the last INT for TD was a bad decision on my part, panicked like McNabb and tossed it to the wrong guy. Zanshin sealed the deal. Its all good though, it was a fairly realistic battle. :yay

The one thing that pisses me off in this Madden is that you can get pressure on the CPU Qb and he will still throw it exactly where it needs to be. On the other hand when I do it the guy throws it to god knows where.
For the most part I do like this Madden but it can be hard to play D at times against the CPU.

that's pretty typical of an eagles game right there. dominate in every statistical category and still lose. how the farg can you have the ball for 30 minutes and not score more than 10 points? maybe the new madden is more realistic than i thought.
What was even more typical was my sickly passing numbers, which were NOT helped by McNabb spraying the ball all over the field.
Zanshin was sending the house at me and I had to throw quick passes and hope my guys broke tackles to gain yards. Its almost impossible to go deep in Madden 10. Even with fastest receiver if they have safety help chances are you won't catch it. Zanshin tried prob 4 times to go deep and somehow my average at best DB's had them covered like glue.
Pfft....no way I was going to let Brees sit back and pick me apart ;-).

Not quite all. And it would have been more if not for my innate sense of fairness...heh. Man, I do wish we could use these teams outside of the league. Would be nice to be able to just use them to goof around and play games with other guys in the league outside of scheduled games.
I did find a play to stop that and my LB missed 2 INT's on back to back plays, but yeah you ran it torwards then end again and I couldn't find the play in time. Hey if the other team can't adjust, then keep hitting them. I wonder if we can set-up custom audibles? Cause the default audibles are so basic.
Do what I did and create your own team from the same players you drafted. You can play a franchise, play online, practice, whatever you want with that team. Granted, the player rankings can be different since it takes your most updated roster update and not the opening season roster like online franchise did..Takes sometime but I think is worth it so you get to know your team alittle better. Plus you can experiment with different playbooks and such

I'm sure you can load created teams, just have to find someone who is willing to take you on. One time I went to find match the guy had a created team, I didn't want any of that. I am not 100% sure though but I think you can.

I am assuming you hit the Y button when your at the pick a team part? Thats how you load a team on the regular game

Funny, I tried to upload a team before with a Franchise team and got an error message. Same deal today. But if I try to upload a non-NFL team (one I created from scratch with the team builder) it looks like it might work. Couldn't use a real NFL team, though. Mussa, when you built your team, how did you do it?
I always created a fake team, not an NFL. I re-did mine today. PPinDC and I played a game quick and it worked, unranked match.

when u go to create a team the first thing it asks is what kind of team you want, at the very bottom there is fantasy team. click that and your taken to all the players. the only thing that sucks is they have all-time great players in there so it takes alittle extra time to toggle through to find your guys. take advantage of the sort(x) button for those players with crap ratings. it takes time, but i think its worth it. the only other thing it doesn't give you a general depth chart, so whatever you use them, you have to adjust the depth chart. also, when you do this it uses most recent rosters, so your players from the online franchise will have different ratings. my team is actually better with updated rosters.
The last game was played. Matty, I think you might have to go in and advance it to week two.
I was kind of shocked how much more realistic the game felt last night. I was able to do pretty well by using some sound football knowledge, but once he was up by two scores late in the game, I had to have Bulger air it out.....and the results were to be expected. Pretty fun though, and it was real tight in the first half.

It was pretty funny. I think the score was 17-10, and I was driving the ball really well. I was at the 17 and had just completed a pass over the middle to Lee Evans at I think around the 10 yard line. Bolger got hit throwing the ball and was knocked out for one play, and Freeman had to come in. I threw to Gaffney on a comeback, and the throw went WAY wide and floated, I think it was an AI adjustment to the throw because of the pressure. Any rate, 98 yard pick six and I was down 24-10. Things went really bad from there, as Sorvok went into ball control mode and I flailed attempting to quickly jump back in the game with a quarter left. My team is definately not gear to come back from double digit deficits.

Yea biscuit get in on this. FYI - PPinDC, comeback routes are very hard to complete. the AI always seems to jump them. If I somehow complete it, its by sure luck. I avoid those routes unless its desperate. Slant routes are without a doubt the best. Throwing in this version is way different than 06, where comebacks, deep balls were possible, they are near impossible in 10. I noticed when we played yesterday pretty much all the INT's I got from you were from comeback routes.
Point taken on the comback routes. I think I was throwing to Gaffney on the 98 yarder because he had pretty good coverage on my back and primary.
Also, I think all the INTs you had against me were primarily because I am the suck at passing in general. If you can force me to do it, you're going to win.

Yeah, it seems Zanshin and his boy Sorvok play Madden about as much as I play CoD2, which is fairly often.
This league is really a nice change of pace though. To try and get more practice in, I've been playing some ranked matches. Tools constantly using fake field goals, not punting from their own 20, etc. Four times I've gotten up by more than two scores, and I get the "Error: Connection to peer has been lost". I think it's farging B.S that people who just shut off the machine don't get penalized, and I don't get the win, just XP points.

I just played Zanshin's buddy I lost by a td, the boxscore was virtually identical. I had a solid edge in TOP. I lost a fumble on a punt when it wouldn't let me fair catch. For some reason tonight I had a slight lag. It was really only a problem on that play and kicks.
No excuse though I couldn't stop him and had my chances, it was a really good game.

Me and Phatty had a good one going til half-time. He had like 170 yards with Adrian Peterson by half. I could not tackle him for shtein, he must of broke 15 tackles all game, which is ridiculous. Luckily I went up by some points which forced him to throw and I was able to cover the pass pretty well and control the clock from there on. Adrian Peterson is a man among boys in this game.
yeah i think i could have kept it closer if i could learn to run the ball more often, no reason not to with peterson but i like to throw too much.
advanced the week last night since everyone played and i took my frustrations out on the computer. had 10 sacks with one person.

I wonder what happens with old players, like if they retire. I purposely picked some younger players so they could progress. I'm curious to see if we can all finish one season without somebody falling off.

Ok apparently there are 10 seasons. There is a rookie draft at the end of the season. I don't think contracts are even used. I signed a guy off free agents and it didn't go to contract negotiations so there is no money involved I assume. You can't trade away draft picks. I wonder if you can load a draft class from NCAA? I know DMF(JPeso81) has that. That would be sweet. Also I saw that the commissioner can appoint other commissioners to have same controls as him. This might be useful if we want to sim the week along if Phatty would be away. I volunteer for this if thats cool Phatty. I work from home so I can sign on almost anytime I want and move it forward if needed.

I just ass raped the computer 70-10. Of course the computer did the ol comeback attempt at the end that was totally unrealistic. I was stopping everything and then they all a sudden are throwing it into spots unimaginable. Ahh well Brees had 5 TDS, Westbrook 3 and Santana Moss brought back 2 kickoffs for TDs. Padding the stats!
Buffalo was an awful team. I played them week 2 and dominated on defense, but was testing some things on the offense with my team, but I knocked Cutler out of the game twice.

Bad night. More than anything his Hester turned into Jerry Rice meets Randy Moss with the speed of Usama Bolt and tackle breaking ability of Earl Campbell. But, like I said, he played a good game.

good thing i didn't get in on this one since my tv is on the fritz right now and will be for probably the next couple of weeks until i can get a new bulb for it. once the season is over though, can more people join in without disturbing the teams or would everyone need to start over and go through the draft again?

I think what I did was leave the franchise. At the very bottom there is an option for this I think I was just mindlessly leaving and somehow clicked this and didn't read the message, just hit ok. I was able to sign back up and get my team back. Its all good

will probably be about two months or so. but i noticed that we can open up spots at any time. we just started out with a limit of 8 but we can change to 12 or more at any point.

We're currently at week three. I think you can join anytime. You don't have to wait for the season to be over with, as long as that spot remains open. We did a fantasy draft, so every team has some pretty decent players on it, and no holdovers from the Skins would be there. You are saddled with the coaching staff, but that really doesn't enter into it.
i know i can join midseason, but i'm not going to be consistently available to play during the current season.

DMF played a great game, but I should have won it. Slow ass Marc Bulger cost me points with the clock ticking down in the half, could have had a chip shot FG had Bulger hustled down and spiked the ball. He got out run by the entire offense and defense.
I also had a silly 98 yard pick six that would have been nice to add to the highlights section. Not sure how to do that yet.....

been meaning to ask.....how's the online game play vs other players been so far? i've never played a single game online but i've heard both good and bad. what do the inmate here think of the madden online play?
Online it's pretty sweet. You can pick whoever's playbook you want for offense and defense. It seems to flow pretty well, and there aren't as many fluky, bullshtein plays as I've seen in the past.

Yeah its pretty much just like playing normally. The only flaw I've noticed is the kick meter isn't exactly how it is in regular game. You have to flick it earlier to get full strength kicks. The only time where I can see it mattering is if your lined up for the longest field goal distance your kicker can hit. Then you might have a problem.
I think I am done with Marc Bulger as my QB in this league. He's just awful, but magnificent on extremely short passes. Anything more than 5-7 yards and the ball floats or is inaccurate. Collinsworth actually commentated on it twice last night, as I barely beat the CPU run taterskins. I pulled Bulger for Josh Freeman at the end of the half when Bulger hoisted a horrible pass on a fade that was picked and almost returned for a TD. Hopefully the rookies progress fast.....

By the way, weird thing in my last game. Some of my starters would get tired, leave the game and never come back in. They weren't hurt, and they were still listed at the top of the depth chart, but I couldn't get them back, even with package substitutions. That sort of sucked.
Mussa and I tried to play last night. He was in the process of beating my ass, like 49-0. There were a couple of minutes left, and we both got the error "The connection to your peer has been lost", but we were both still online, and still chatting. I will be out of town early next week, and he's away this weekend, so we're probably going to hold the league up unitl we can get some time to knock the game out. Not sure if Matty can pencil in a win for mussa, but he or I probably won't get any stats.
ouch, that sucks. obviously there was some sort of technical glitch going on, but normally when playing online, do you have the ability to pause and/or save a game while it's in progress? or once the game starts do you have to play it out to the end?
As far as I know, you can't save it online. Usually if you are getting your ass beat, like I was, you can concede the game and end it early. We couldn't find that last night in an online franchise game...so the whole things was lost.

You get like 5 pauses, I think they give you 30 seconds each then it goes back to game with or without you. i know at halftime if your not back in time it automatically kicks the ball off for you, directly out of bounds.

I joined a madden tournament yesterday so I wouldn't of been able to play anyway. Was at a local bar. 7 hours later, I'm in the final. It was double elimination, I was 3-1. The guy that beat me earlier is who I play in the final. First game, my first 3 possessions he picked me twice and I fumbled. I was down 17-0 at half and finally got rolling in the 2nd half and came back at 21-17 with 1:20 left on the clock. I was trying to run the clock down and score with seconds left but I made a miraculous catch and slowly ran into endzone. So he drove down the field and scored a TD with 2 seconds left. As long as I don't get turnovers I think I can beat him and get the loot. I was playing with the Saints, cause Drew Brees is on my online team. Reggie Bush sucks ass. He fumbled in every game but one for me.

Well me and PP played again and got to finish this time. It was the glitchiest game I have yet to play on the new madden. Not sure if it was bad for you PP or what. I am going to have to call comcast and see how my internet speed is. Anyway it was a damn close game at half-time and then I finally got some offense going in 2nd half. I swear PP wasn't playing that game. Completely diff playing style than the first 2 games I played you. Are you sure you didn't have someone else play for you ^-^

No, it was me. I have been experimenting with this team quite a bit since we last played. I've come to a conclusion, that the next time we do this, I am going to draft offense heavy. My D-Line is fantastic, with exception of the one 50+ yard run you had with Westbrook, they have been great at slowing down the run game. I've come to the conclusion that normal football theory doesn't work in this game, running the ball, stopping the run, controlling the clock, so I'm going to throw it more from now on I think. I didn't notice any lag, but it locked up with :57 to go in the fourth, and I thought it might disconnect again for a second.
I almost threw the controller through the wall in the first five minutes, fumble on the opening kick-off for a TD, then you returned a punt with Moss (you could probably see me pulling my guys away once was past the thirty heading in). I figured I'd play it out, and had a couple of plays go my way, then it got ugly.
Also, the online gameplay is beginning to seriously piss me off, especially the punt/kick-off meter deal and the injuries. At one point, my entire offense was subbed out, I had some dudes at WR I didn't even know on the team out there (not sure if you remember, but Sammy Stroughter had a ball farging hit him the hands at the four and stone dropped it) and farging Antonio Pittman out there as my #1. I couldn't get them back in, even after a time out. That was retarded.
You should of challenged that kickoff fumble for TD to start the game. I thought you were just throwing the game, because I did see you pull those guys back on the punt return, and then you were doing all kinds of weird shtein on the kickoffs. Your much better than you were the first 2 times we played. I still think a good balance of run and pass is good. Really depends on your players. You had a bunch of bad throws by Freeman and Bulger and drops. Its tough to throw all the time when they suck so bad. I was just trying to pass at first and you were blitzing so much it was hard for me to get any offense going. Finally the 2nd half I did hit some throws, and then started to run and mix the play action in there to seal the deal. That TD at the end of the game was kind of ignorant, I had no intention of scoring, just heaving it out see what happens...

Played some guy last night who ran nothing but a goal line PA pass to the FB. He used Titans, Vince Young would either roll out and hit the FB or run, or he would hand it off the Chris Johnson who, like Peterson, has freakish abilities to break 5 tackles at any moment. It was the most frustrating game I have ever played. He then would go for extra points. It was just stupid. Meanwhile I am keeping up with him using the entire playbook. Finally I found a play to counter his one of 2 plays he was picking and then when he's running a pitch to outside with Johnson, it glitches so bad on me that one second I had 3 guys converging on him, screen "skips" and then he's gone 60 yeards. I quit, sent the guy a message saying he's the worst player in madden history. man i was bitter

Usually if a play is challenge-able the option is there. If the computer knows its def a fumble then it won't even give you the option. Its a hard call. I thought it looked close enough for review, but it happened so fast too.
Like I said I have 4 good receivers including a great TE, with some low ranked but decent back up TE's. Kenny Britt and Heyward Bay are my 3 and 4 receivers and are leading my team is all the receiving categories. They are both rookies and will progress even better. Heyward Bay has 97 speed. Britt catches anything thrown his way but is a bit slow for my liking, but is very dependable. A good slot WR. Then my starters are Santana Moss and Braylon Edwards. Ive brought back 3 KR's for TD and 1 PR. Santana is fast, Edwards is pretty fast as well and can break tackles and make some tough catches as well.
I just can't give up McFadden as back up to Westbrook, since Westbrook is always one hit away from injury. I started a franchise with my team and the first game Westbrook broke his collarbone and is done for 11 weeks. McFadden thankfully good enough to fill that spot. So I gotta keep him around in case.

Since the prospect of joining this league sparked my attention, I've played six games online to see how I match up vs. humans:
- 1 game: I was hammered and was destroyed destroyed by a dude using the Saints (he mercy ruled me and gave me the option to not finish the game)
- 2 games: Opponents quit (usually after I gained a lead and forced a turnover resulting in awesome field condition or a TD)
- 1 game: Defensive slugfest: won 10 - 7
- 1 game: beat soundly by the Cowboys (I was using the Pack and the pass rush was REDICULOUS. I seriously had 1 second per play and couldn't gain a yard on the ground)
- 1 game: solid in a loss
So I'm 3 - 3. I'll most likely play a few more times and will keep you posted on availability for league. If I join I'll refrain from getting hammered before a game, i promise.

No, I don't know wtf the problem is. This issue came up before with the having to download the Ultimate team thing. Anybody have any idea?
Could be a port setting on your router, but if you didn't have any problems before it's tough to nail down. If you keep having the problem, you might have to go the support site and open up the ports. If you want to see if that's it, you could try connecting your modem directly to the xbox, thereby bypassing the router, to see if that's the issue.

My game is in the books. McNabb had a pretty good day...30-38 for 550 yards, 10 TDs and no INTs. Wouldn't have minded seeing that line at some point last year in real life. Like maybe against the Cowboys at the end of the year.

So much for shooting for a couple of league games a week thing, huh? Not sure if anyone else cares enough to implement it, but what about a 5 or 6 day get your game in policy, or it gets simmed? I'm a little afraid of forgetting about it, because there's so long between games.

So I posted a message on the EA website about each week having a 7 day play period. If you don't give notification of travel or other good enough reason then your game will be sim'd after the 7 days. So if you have any special requests for travel or more time just let me know via here, PM or on the EA website. If you want my email address as well, shoot me a PM and I'll send it to ya.
you should also post your grid coordinates in case someone wants to send you a message via sky writing.
In the future, I think the CF league should consist of folks that are regulars on the board.
We have the EA website in which everyone can communicate. I think most importantly before the season starts all the players exchange contact info, gamertags and email addresses. That way we can all stay connected. Hell we can even start an on-going email chain include everyone from the start. played a good one with sorvok. i knew hester was his fav target according to the 18 tds he has by week 8. i got lucky finding a play to counter his and picked him 3 times. if it wasn't for that, it would of been neck and neck all game. i went up 35-14 in 4th, then played run the clock down while he caught up. final was 28-35. hester is a bitch!

yeah if it wasn't for the first pick for 6, I would of gotten really frustrated. I stuck to the same defense over and over and it payed off.

I got my ass kicked by the farging CPU tonight. I was playing against Green Bay, and no matter what I did, could not get the W. I started one game off with two straight kick returns, but Ryan Grant was unstoppable, trucking the likes of Seymour, Sanders, on and on. Also no matter what I did, I could get any pressure on Kurt Warner, although I did give him a concussion, which he later came back from. I'm not ashamed to admit it, I restarted the farging thing three times out of frustration. I finally gave up when on the last drive, down 21-17, I hit Shiancoe in the hands in the end zone with 11 seconds left. He farging dropped it. Next play I got hit by Umenorya and the game was over.
Some days Madden just makes you his bitch and there's not much you can do about it.
Fun game yesterday. Thought for sure you were going to get that 2-pointer at the end.

It was a good game...though it made we want to kill McNabb all the more. farger. Normally, I wouldn't have gone for two...but my bladder couldn't take OT. You drafted really well, btw. Pretty amazing collection of speed and talent running around out there.
thanks. have adrian peterson and reggie bush as my 1-2 yet jamaal charles seemed to be in for half the game. couldn't figure out a way to take him out. thats what most of the pauses were for, to try and get that dick out of the game.
Yeah, I don't know what the deal is. I have Chris Johnson as my starter, and every time he leaves with fatigue, he never comes back. It's weird. Your problem was that you had Bush slotted as a WR, so it defaulted to Charles when Peterson went down.
Yeah sometimes the computer just doesn't let you win, no matter what. Its extremely frustrating when you dominate 80% of the games against computer, then u get one of those games that you can't win, even if you restart it. Happened to me a few weeks back, I restarted it a few times, mostly due to fumbling the ball like it was a greased pig right off the bat in multiple games and the other team being unstoppable.
The whole fatigue and subs thing is horrible in the online league. I don't get it when all the other game modes its normal and seems to be accurate. Seems like a simple fix to me, but prob won't ever see a patch for it.

I'm going to be honest, I restarted twice yesterday because Adrian Petersen kept breaking his collarbone. The first game he has almost 300 yards rushing on like 10 carries. busted it with under 2 minutes left and was done for the year. second game he broke it again and was out for 10 weeks, but i was going to just deal with it until aaron rodgers also got a foot injury that was going to sideline him for about 8 weeks. third game was one of those where the computer becomes amazing. was a 2 point game in the 4th quarter until i returned an INT.

Yeah I played my game yesterday and I had at least 5 guys get injured in first half, none for more than a quarter though, but it kept the game close. Then I scored 35 points in the 4th and totally blew them out 70 - 10. First possession of the game for me I hit Braylon Edwards and dove for endzone on the sideline, clearly fumbled the ball on the one and went out of bounds, but it was called a fumble out of bounds in endzone and they got it at the 20. I couldn't challenge and replayed it 5 times and it was def fumbled at the one. Good ol Madden!
How the heck are you guys getting so many sacks? Is it your LE getting them all? Trent Cole is highest rated Dlineman on my team and he's not leading my team. I find no matter the skill level of the LE, they always seem to get more sacks. I think I'll be moving Cole to LE. I tested it in my franchise and I got 5 in one game, but just curious if the LE was consistent with you guys too.
yeah thats actually the only position i get sacks from. not even sure who my dude is, lawrence jackson, but i've had 2 double digit sack games from him.
When I get sacks, it usually comes down to one of three ways...either with an LB on a blitz, a coverage sack, or a sack on a qb rollout. When I control the LE, he gets the majority of the sacks....but he doesn't do much unless I'm controlling him.

He's a friend of mine back here in Lancaster. He quit a few weeks back but I go him to rejoin, he's really not having that much fun in the league. He thinks everyone is so much better than him. You guys should have a good game. He works usually 4pm til like 2-3am but if you catch him on an off night your good. So just post on the google groups page and try to figure out his schedule.

so there's a section on our league page that says video highlights. anyone know how to upload to that? i had a sick run with peterson yesterday where literally every player on the D touched him at one point and he still broke off a 30 yard TD. i paused and looked everywhere but couldn't figure out how to save a replay.
ive been wondering how to save replays in general myself. can't figure out how to do it just in regular franchise mode...
i picked off coldasnyte 9 times in our game yesterday. i finally got to use the lateral button and almost scored a TD from doing it. another attempt at a lateral off another INT led to a fumble back to him. at that point it didn't matter. felt really bad, he just uses ask madden on offense and defense and really has no idea how to line up the defense with the offense. if i wouldn't of backed off i think i could of scored 100 points on him, but I just ran it up the gut the 2nd half and tried to let him back in it. just kept throwing INT's...it was ugly

we kind of got our game in last night. my connection was awful, every kick was zero power, my guy would be about to get the sack then all of a sudden be 5 yards behind the QB. so frustrating. at halftime it got so bad i just disconnected. most likely would have lost anyway because all that dude does is 2 unstoppable plays but frustrating none the less.
he also went for 4th and 10 in the 2nd quarter from his own half of the field up by 20+ and knowing my connection was shtein. i didn't miss playing the second half.
Meh. The plays are stoppable.
I scoped the complaints out with Sorvok, and here's his side:
1) Yes the connection was bad, but they both played with those conditions
2) He went for it on 4th and 10 from Phatty's 37 (not his own) yard line because he did not want to kick a 55 yard field goal and come up short so Desean Jackson could run it back. It was the 2nd quarter. and he hasn't run up the score on anyone in this league.
3) He thought it was a well-played game, until the quit at the half.
i didn't mean to sound like i was complaining about the guy...he seems cool.
just was a frustrating game.
oh and i didn't disconnect on purpose. i would have finished it out but it kicked me off.

Me and Sorvok just had an epic game and it froze on us going into the 4th. I just went up 24-22 and he was driving. The game was slow and glitchy, but still playable for the most part other than kicks and running seemed to be a bitch. Its a huge game because the winner gets home field in playoffs. :boom

yeah me too its got to be better online franchise than this one. shtein happens people lose interest theres not much more to it.
I simply cannot play that game. I get far better results on run plays if I just don't take control over the runner at all. I swear my players run faster when I'm not controlling them. I cannot stay off the square button (dive tackle) on defense, usually causing me to miss the play entirely. The kicking drove me so nuts from the beginning that after a dozen or so games, I just stopped trying to use it and sim'd all FGs. I get sacked three or four times a game no matter how quickly I try to unload the ball...in fact I avoid play action for this reason: it takes so much time to fake the hand off that it's probably a 50% chance I get sacked before the game responds to my frantic "dump it off!!" command.
apparently, the new one doesn't have a turbo button, but it has a new motion engine that kicks your guy into turbo as you start to run straight ahead. this was to help with cuts and agility with the runners.
You can revert to the turbo in 11 if you want, but I'm interested to see what the new default is. Sounds like they went more the way of the NHL series with the controls.
Here are the Eagles ratings for Madden 11. They have Kolb as a 74 and Vick as a 73-- which practically assures that most people will be playing Vick. Based on the situation, I think they should have Kolb as at least an 80.

...and that's the season. Played out the Super Bowl and sent Manning home a loser. It was also the only time I ever want to see McNabb hoisting the trophy. He didn't puke for me in the Super Bowl, and I think that made all the difference.

Madden reviews are out today, and it's getting pretty good press. I wish they would have done more to enhance the franchise mode, but apparently the development team reworked the gameplay this year and will look to delve into the franchise improvements next year. Either way, I'm looking forward to trying it-- though I'm not entirely sold on dumbing it down for casual players.
