Got married when I was 20 because I was stupid and knocked up a whore.  Divorced at 24 because I got smart.  Sometimes though I still wear my wedding ring out because, as Feva mentioned, it brings out teh sluts.

True. I got married at 23 (and a half). There are always different interests between us, but there is a mutual respect for each other that lets us tolerate some of those differences...so it's all good.

BTW, we had our children early - one a year after marrying, and the other 3 years later. Now that both kids are in college, we're relatively young empty nesters, and we're looking forward to enjoying the rest of life without little ones around.

I hear this argument all the time from people who have kids young. That they wanted to enjoy their post-kids years while they were relatively young. I can NOT get behind that.

I want to enjoy my life while I'm young enough and healthy enough and good looking enough and my liver is still in good enough shape to do whatever the hell I want to do. Why waste the best years of your life chasing little brats around and missing out on fun. Going on cruises and playing shuffleboard will never replace an impromptu trip to Amsterdam or a last minute Vegas/New Orleans trip while you're still young enough to actually stay up past midnight.

Women have an excuse, they're bodies are all farged up and have problems after a certain age. Men have no excuse, other than making their wives happy. And that's gay.

I didn't want anything to do with children in my 20's.  We had a blast living our lives those first ten years, and to be totally honest, I never wanted to have any kids.  My wife got into her mid-30's and it became sort of a priority for her, so I went along with it.

I can say without reservation that it's the best decision I've ever had made for me.    We had a great life before she came along but she's made our lives infinitely better overall.

I am glad that we waited until we were in our mid-30's though.  It was the right decision for us.

Hey...to each his own. I didn't intend it so much as an argument as a statement of where I am today.

I'm far from geriatric, my friend. I can do what I want, and now I have both the means and the opportunity to do that kind of stuff. I did just get back from a "guy's trip" to Iceland, and that was a month after a trip to Cancun. So don't put me in the nursing home just yet.

rjs246

Too late. I already put you in the nursing home. The lowest class I could find. Take that!

Do they allow porn in a nursing home?

I bet they do. And they promote wrinkly gang bangs.

I kind of went both ways.  Got married at 22, but waited until my 30s to have children.

I have, quite simply, the best wife in the entire world.  How she puts up with me, I'll never know.

I also agree with Romey that  I was quite happy without children, and I believed myself to be far too selfish to be a dad.  But, just over four years after my son's birth, I couldn't ask for better kids.

Now that I have a daughter, though, I'm investing in a shotgun.  Damn horndogs.

Geo, we never knew.

I had my suspicions when he kept pm'ing me pics of Daniel Craig accompanied by a few dozen droolie smilies.

Speaking of women, there is a chance one could be our next president.
