Yeah, Jackson's career was cut short due to a freak injury.  Prior to that he was living up to, if not exceeding the hype.

I'm guessing there were no RB's drafted in the top 10 picks in 84 and 85?

BigEd76

didn't work out well for Tampa Bay though

phattymatty

that's a pretty damn good list.

right....the years not listed didn't have a RB selected until 11 or later...

1984 = Greg Bell (26)
1985 = George Adams (19)
1988 = Gaston Green (14)
1991 = Leonard Russell (14)
1997 = Dunn (12)
2002 = William Green (16)
2003 = McGahee (23)
2004 = Steven Jackson (24)

I didn't realize Jackson went that late in the first round.  I was thinking he was picked somewhere in the middle of the round.  What a steal.

Dunn at 12 seems like an overall good value pick looking back at it.

I have no idea who the hell William Green was.

Green

He's from Atlantic City and loves teh drugs

The difference in quality from the top-10 list and the post-top-10 list is sort of remarkable. Maybe there is something to be said for trading up to get the top RB available...
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

ha....Simpson denies reports that Romo dumped her

Yeah, that goes back to the Parcells question. He passed on Steven Jackson and traded down, I think out of the first round and took Jones. Unlike alot of people I haven't been all that impressed with Parcells drafting over the last few years.

Predictably, his parents were heroin addicts who died of AIDS.

TO owes Eagles $769,120

Ha!

QuoteAnd now the receiver owes them nearly $800,000, which will be credited to the Eagles' salary cap in 2008.

QuoteBefore the Eagles played the Cowboys last month in Dallas, Owens said during a conference call, "In my heart, I'm getting the last laugh." He also said, "I think everybody can assess what has gone on since I've left. I've said all the time, the proof is in the pudding."

The Cowboys lost to the Eagles the next Sunday and were eliminated by the New York Giants in the divisional round of the NFC playoffs. In Owens' two years with Dallas, the Eagles and Cowboys have each won an NFC East title, but neither has advanced beyond the divisional round. The Eagles have won three of the four meetings against Owens and the Cowboys.

This cracked me up, I got the last laugh even though we've lost 3 of 4 to them :-D Plus now he has to pay the additional 700k what a bastich

Haven't they split the last four games?

no, Eagles swept last season and won the game in Dallas this season. TO only played 1 good game and of course that was the game I happened to be at.
