Why would anyone have to keep 250 k at his house? I can understand having a mega safe for guns and jewelry, but why does anyone need that much cash on hand?

We wonder why he had 250K in his house, mostly because we aren't in a position to have that much.  Who knows why a rich guy would have that much money?  Maybe he needed some money to burn.  Unfortunately he was the victim of a crime, and hopefully the criminal is caught.
