IGY -- there are plenty of people in the military that are very smart, and it doesn't shield them from danger during a war.  Bullets, landmines, missles, and farging radical muslims don't check a person's IQ before killing.  To call the vast majority poor and uneducated is a slap in the face to people that have served and are serving everywhere.

If you are agreeing with Kerry, and it certainly sounds as if you are, you are talking about US military in Iraq.  In which case, congrats.  You are proving your own ignorance.

If you want to now use semantics as your defense and say you really meant all military in all wars in all the world's history, then congrats.  You are proving your own ignorance.

if hes saying all people in the military are stupid...then hes a moron

if hes saying that by getting a higher education or any education gives you options that others dont have and a future that keeps you out of the military thus eliminating any chance of dieing in a war then i agree

generalizations on either side can be wrong...all im saying is that poor uneducated people are primarily the ones who die in wars...and that is truth


and for the record uneducated does not mean dumb...but its a fact that without an education you dont have the same opportunities of those who do...and because of that the military becomes a much bigger option in ones life
