To help keep track of who gets injured, who is out and anything injury related. Should be of help to the bettors and fantasy players out there...
To start it off:
QuotePatriots | Maroney will miss Week 1
Mon, 4 Sep 2006 08:38:55 -0700
ESPN's SportsCenter reports New England Patriots RB Laurence Maroney (leg) is OUT for the team's Week 1 game.
As if no one has seen it.
QuoteSteelers | Roethlisberger OUT for Week 1
Sun, 3 Sep 2006 15:22:37 -0700
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher said QB Ben Roethlisberger (appendix) underwent an emergency appendectomy Sunday, Sept. 3. The surgery went well, but he will be out for Week 1 and will be on a week-to-week basis. The team is looking to bring in another quarterback and QB Charlie Batch will start Week 1.
Rotoworld:
Laurence Maroney (knee) returned to practice Monday.
ESPN reported this morning that Maroney would miss Week 1, but the first-round pick ran with no limp at practice Monday. He did wear a knee brace. We'll get a better idea of whether Maroney will play in the opener when the offical injury report is released on Wednesday. Sep. 4 - 1:36 pm et

QuotePanthers | Smith doubtful to play
Wed, 6 Sep 2006 14:35:47 -0700
Updating previous reports, ESPNews reports Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith (hamstring) is doubtful to play during Week 1 due to a new hamstring injury. The injured hamstring is the opposite one that he dealt with during training camp.
Downgraded to doubtful.
That means Drew Carter starts, I guess.
I like Carter. Great speed. A sleeper player who could turn into a good one.
i read it would be Kerry Colbert

Vikings | Pinkston says he's about 90 percent
Thu, 7 Sep 2006 19:10:15 -0700
Sean Jensen, of the Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings WR Todd Pinkston (Achilles') said after practice Thursday, Sept. 7, that he's about 90 percent healthy. "It's very encouraging," said Pinkston, who missed the entire 2005 season and parts of the preseason because of a torn Achilles'. "I'm coming along fine. It's going to take a little time to get warmed up." Pinkston showed flashes of his elite speed at practice, but he also seemed tentative at times. Pinkston said Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb throws the ball with a lot more velocity than Vikings' QB Brad Johnson.
Hasn't Stinkston been saying all summer that he is "about 90%"? I like the elite speed reference. Sounds like someone is trying to polish a turd.
Also, nice way of saying that the QB you are playing for now is a big step down.
Pinkston's "tentative at times" when he's 100% anyway.
Steve Smith isnt playing and neither is TJ Houshmazode.
TJ, who's your momma

Opinion. Housh is questionable and Smith is doubtful. Make of that what you will.

CAR - Dan Morgan has another concussion (like his 7th).
ATL - Patrick Kerney has a triceps injury
SF - Larry Allen has a knee injury
KC - Trent Green has a head injury
A head injury for Green? I guess that means they found it somewhere at the other end of the field to check on it.
:-D
:-D
GF, that's terrible! >:(
:-D
P.S. LiToast is injured again.
-- Trent Green: out indefinitely w/ "very, very severe" concussion
-- Joe Jurevicius: out 4-6 weeks w/ broken ribs
-- Andy McCollum (STL C): out for the season w/ torn ACL and MCL (hadn't missed a start in 10 years)
-- Reggie Hayward (JAX DE): out for the season w/ ruptured Achilles tendon
-- Travelle Wharton (CAR LT): out for the season w/ torn ACL and MCL
-- Dan Morgan: out indefinitely w/ 5th?/6th?/7th? career concussion
I thought they said it was Morgan's 7th.
Pierson Prileoloeuzazx, or whatever, looks to be done for the season.
He had basically beaten out Archuleta for the starting safety job opposite Taylor.
