NFL.com (http://www.nfl.com/draft/2016/profiles/isaac-seumalo?id=2555495) had him as a 4th-5h rounder.

From SD's link:

Quote
IN OUR VIEW: If given a clean bill of health from NFL doctors, Seumalo could prove a "surprise" top 100 selection as he's among the more pro-ready and reliable interior linemen in the draft. Balanced, powerful and surprisingly athletic, he's a potential future starter with proven versatility, having started at four of the five positions (all but left guard) along the offensive line over his 37 career starts

a guard/center in round three shouldn't be a 'potential starter'...hopefully this is the beginning of the end of the Jason kelce era

im not saying this dood wont be good but that video is terrible and was posted by a moronic homer on twitter

buckner is locked up with malo and the guard shoves him causing him to lose his balance then malo finishes him

Lolol ok

Moronic homer

So looking for good plays on new players is homeriffic now
Title: Re: Isaac Seumalo, Philadelphia Eagle
Post by: ice grillin you on April 29, 2016, 11:27:21 PM
but its a terrible example of a good play and the fact that that fact could so easily be overlooked makes one a homer

honest question do you watch that video and think he owned buckner?
Title: Re: Isaac Seumalo, Philadelphia Eagle

the more I think about this pick the more I feel like there is a sneaky little background positive to it

I think while we all agree doug Pederson is a travesty of a head coach we also agree they put a very good staff around him...the best of which may be jeff stoudland...and maybe in this all in together kumbaya flow chart they have now that stout was allowed major input and pushed this pick

It's an aggressive block - a pancake. Jesus Christ stop over analyzing everything. An interesting video clip is all.

They addressed a need with a player who was picked where he should have been picked.

Mock!

Lol

Bottom line is guard was by far the weakest part of the team and its been addressed in a big way.

at least they didn't take a RB

they addressed OL depth in a good way....kid will only play this year if there are injuries and I still think his future is at center

probably, but its not like barbre, winewski, etc. are world beaters. he can easily win the lg job.

cant imagine he would beat out wiz.....true the guys they have are not great....but they are not great NFL guards....this kid is a not great college lineman....I think if hes ready to play at all in the league he will be a depth versatility guy for next year who will be groomed to start in 2017

an interesting o/u would be the number of non ST snaps the eagles get from this draft class next season

Expecting a third round guard to start isn't a stretch.   I don't know if this Samoan beast can play or not but he best be ready to step in because they guards they had last year were straight trash and the "talent" they picked up in free agency is suspect, and that's putting it kindly.

I remember when we all bashed the Jordan Hicks pick last season. Every one of us thought he was an unnecessary reach.

its not at all and it wouldn't be a shock if he won the job...definitely one of the easiest positions to transfer to

Philadelphia Eagles: Isaac Seumalo, G/C, Oregon State  B Grade

Isaac Seumalo is a versatile lineman who can play both guard and center. He even saw some action at tackle in college, but he probably won't be able to do that at the next level. Seumalo is a high second-round talent, so why the drop into the third frame? He has an extensive injury history regarding his feet. Still, he's worth the risk here in the third round, especially considering Philadelphia's offensive line concerns.

With the mess they had at OG last year and the fact it was never addressed by the smartest man in the room, Helen Keller is an upgrade.

I'm still not a Seumalo fan and I'm pretty sure they pull a lot of those next gen stats out their ass, mostly because there are so many nerd fans that look at endless strings of numbers like a retard that's never seen a shiny object. I'd love to be wrong about him but I just don't see it. I don't even think Doug could fully break down what the hell was going on with that line last year much less who ever pumps out these analysis.
