It finally begins.
GB is starting a rookie center tonight and Bruce Irvin said he'd pray for him.
It will be loud but I think the Packers are going to keep it close. If I were betting it I would take the Packers and the 5.5.
that juke was on earl thomas
Drew Brees attempting to be in more commercials than Peyton Manning this season.
That play was pretty.
Harvin is going to have 100 catches or be out for the year week 3 with how often he's being targeted.
green bay benched harris after those two awful decisions
green bays wr's simply cant get open
Mildly encouraged there weren't 300 illegal contact penalties that half.
I was about to go postal on directv. Just had an outage. No storms either. Happened in a lot of markets. Thankfully it was only for halftime.
Awful job by Jordy Nelson. Catch the ball, whitey
Out again.
farg your mother, directv
The Seattle defense is serving notice that once again they will not be farged with this season. The Packers haven't really been bad on either side of the ball, but their offense feels like it's playing underneath heavy wet blankets.

You can't really judge him too harshly against Seattle because that defense is crushing everyone on his offense. But it wouldn't be shocking if Rodgers did look kind of ordinary this season. Even as an elite player two years ago, he seemed like yesterday's news with all the dynamic new QBs and offenses breaking out. And he's coming off a major career interrupting injury.

The signal can still be picked up with rabbit ears. I'm using them (haven't had cable in 3 years). The tuner part comes with the TV if you've bought one in the last 7 years or so.

Absolutely, the signal is HD and looks great. Obviously you can be at the mercy of bad lines of sight and severe weather, but if the signal is available to you, it looks good.
I have MLB.tv for the Phillies, but I'm out of town and don't have to worry much about blackouts. Of course my MLB.tv money was kind of pissed away this year anyway.
Yeah it picks up HD with rabbit ears.
We did it in the office for the world cup
yea i was in that spot...now i aint. but actually i read that they are considering lifting mlb.tv blackouts. in some way shape or form all the local sports stations are going to offer live streaming games on the interwebs. the sixers i think do already.

Lol.
red zone just showed the washington pro football team's game...rgknee getting destroyed, bullshtein RTP call, fumble
so that team still sucks
A ton of injuries today
Chiefs lost Derrick Johnson to torn Achilles
Burfict concussion
Eifert dislocated elbow
Burfict's concussion came jamming his helmet into Joe Flacco's (apparently) rock-hard abs during a sack.
That's where Flacco keeps his wallet.
Joey Millions just put Baltimore up 16-15 after being down 15-0.
eagles wins, washington loses
you know whats next cowboys
8-8?
lololol Dallas
fumble for a TD...SF up
good idea by dallas to spot their terrible defense 7 points
SF!
Dallas D is a piece of shtein....lololol
And there are more SF fans in there than Dallas fans
jesus is this a niners home game? cowboys fans knew their team is a joke
ROMOOOOOOOOOOO hahahahahah
Romo must think it's the 4th quarter.

wow
Dez Bryant just got annihilated.
I only caught parts of it due to the Eagles game, but Saints-Falcons looked like the game of the week. I always thought that rivalry was sorta contrived (I mean, how much can you hate a nonentity like the Falcons), but that was a fierce game.
holy crap the cowboys stink
side note: decent idea for the eagles to be 3-0 heading into that niners game
I like the overlay FOX is using this year, but I hope they can figure out how to scale it properly so that there isn't two pixels of camera footage around it at the bottom of the screen.

actually its quite a good rivalry....both teams have been around longer than youd think and the cities are relatively close to each, at least as the south goes.
it doesnt have the history or passion of the old school pre-merger rivalries, or the talent of the hawks/niners, but its pretty good and meaningful to the fan bases
Southern Dome teams in black with HOF-worthy kickers named Andersen/Anderson. That's enough for a rivalry.

Yeah I have a buddy who's a Saints fan. He truly hates the Falcons. I just don't get it, man. It's the Falcons for crying out loud. Eagles fans hate Jerry Jones, Daniel Snyder, and New York City. I think most of the country can at least understand those impulses.

Their defense, especially beyond the line, is ridiculously bad. I think the offense will be basically functional and not much different from what we've seen from Romo in years past.
I'm not a huge believer in this 49ers team and I think this season they will regress a little from what they've been the last couple of years. They are better than the Eagles, but I think the Eagles will face an even more challenging early test against the Colts.
Romo is looking spectacular today. I love it
Either the Eagles or Vikings are going to be alone in first place after Week 1.

Man, Berman's sounding super old and slightly drunk. Probably because he is.
i thought it wouldve been cool to give ian darke this game....yea he doesnt know what a football is but at least hes a broadcaster with talent
dilfer is great...and honestly I don't think berman on football is that bad at all...baseball is where hes god awful
twitter is having a field day with berman....NOBODY likes him. not a twitter soul
thats cause they all associate him with the home run derby
but when it comes to football hes excellent on gameday and in the booth hes just another pbp guy...not great but certainly not bad enough to spazz out about
Twitter is for complaining. Nobody's going to tap out 140 characters to say they're okay with his announcing.

the inside baseball issue is espn giving him this assignment when it has 100000000000 qualified announcers more deserving of the gig

Cary, Fletch, Boykin (who is criminally underused), Watkins and Carroll
Every time I see the name Watkins I immediately think of the fireman and cringe.
The best part of this Cards/Chargers game is when they come back from commercial and forget to completely turn down the director, so you can barely hear him and he sounds like a 1920s baseball announcer.
