I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Good for Toronto, don't know about Milwaukee. They had a true PG who distributes the ball and penetrates. Villanueva is the better player, but was it the bigger need?
Calling it right on the $ since day one.

well they already have bosh and they drafted bargnani.  seems to me like they're going to make sure he plays right away and not turn him into a darko.

Details are surfacing about Eddie Griffin's March automobile accident near a convenient store parking lot, and they're not pretty.
He was allegedly driving drunk and masturbating to a porn DVD when he struck a parked SUV. He was then caught on video tape staggering around the convenient store, telling people he was drunk and that he didn't want to go to jail. He also told the owner of the vehicle he hit that he would buy him a new car, as long as it wasn't a Bentley. Officers took him home, reportedly without issuing any sobriety tests and a civil suit has been filed against Griffin and the city of Minneapolis. Griffin has undergone alcohol abuse treatment in the past, so it will be interesting to see how this ends. Jun. 30 - 3:10 pm et

i mean....lets get serious eddie. we've all probably fell asleep beating our man late at night, but to zone off driving, hit a car and get caught doing it...jesus h christ

Speedy Claxton to Atlanta.  Note the salary numbers, please.

Hawks lure Speedy Claxton away from Hornets

The Atlanta Hawks, roundly criticized for bypassing Chris Paul in the 2005 NBA draft, addressed their void at point guard Monday by reaching a verbal agreement with Paul's backcourt mate: Speedy Claxton.

Claxton's agent, Bill Duffy, told ESPN.com that Claxton has verbally agreed to sign with the Hawks on July 12, the first day free agent signings and trades can be made official.

It is believed that Claxton will receive a four-year deal worth $25 million.   :o

The Hawks targeted Claxton after a two-year, $13 million bid to wrest Sam Cassell away from the Los Angeles Clippers fell short. Cassell opted late Saturday to stay in L.A. when the Clippers matched Atlanta's offer.

Claxton, who logged key playoff minutes at the point for San Antonio's 2003 championship team, emerged as a top Sixth Man Award candidate with the Hornets last season as Paul's backup. Hornets coach Byron Scott frequently played Claxton and the eventual Rookie of the Year together in a small, but quick backcourt tandem.

Claxton is expected to be the unquestioned starter in Atlanta, enabling Joe Johnson -- the Hawks' marquee free agent acquisition last summer -- to play at his natural shooting guard position.

Yeah because he is only the best defensive player in the NBA.

Then why not just offer him 4 years 100 million?

Where do you draw the line on a 31 going on 32 year old center that got dominated inside by Drew frickin Gooden in the playoffs?

Well big men usually have a long shelf life, and 100 million that is a bit ridiculous.  Whatever there is no sense arguing with you because you are always right.

The funniest thing is if the Sixers signed him to that he would say how awesom the signing was.

I wouldn't have liked the signing actually. This is a team that's supposed to be rebuilding. Not offering big-time contracts to 32 year olds. Ben Wallace is a player that can get you over the hump. The Sixers aren't even near the hump right now let alone trying to get over it.

Seems like the deal is for 60 million now. Whew that is a lot of money. I wouldn't say it was a bad signing, but I wouldn't say it was a great signing either. It was a solid signing. If I were a Bulls fan, I'd be a little worried about how Ben Wallace had an awful playoffs. Including controlling the paint, which is his strong point.
