Baltimore running over the vaunted Patriots defense right now.
Of course, that will be sealed tight before the Eagles game.
They're getting murdered.
Pats gonna lose two in a row? Coming off a bye?
No way.
They're going to pay for SB 52 until Belichick returns to his throne in hell. Bet the over, count on the Eagles scoring nothing.
skill position players:
ertz, goedert, sanders, boston scott, d'angelo henderson/jay ajayi, jordan matthews, jjaw, mack hollins, agholor
has it ever been worse than this?
thrash, pinkston, lewis, mitchell, that stupid TE who only every carried the ball in one hand and went to Baltimore....other nobodies?
its bad against anyone but it feeds exactly into the patriots strength...they are almost impossible to score on when they can line up in zero man coverage and that defense was made for this eagles team
i dont know what the eagles TT is for sunday but id look long and hard at that under
Alshon out
Bradham out
Sproles dead
Howard questionable
Eagles win 16-9
not sure why sproles being done is a bad thing...he was cooked this year and was atrocious against chicago
bosco is better

Other than the only ball he ever caught against Green Bay, Bradham can be added to the other MIAs on this year's squad. What has he done this year?
Jordan Howard not playing today.

On here also that's nice.
Me too.
I didn't get there until the Peters false start....deepest field position Eagles will have all day?
This is a better start that I could have hoped for.
Wentz overthrowing a lot today.
Hey an NC EAgle spotting
Two drives, two drive killing JP penalties.
Wentz throws are off and the wind ain't helping.
The team showed up today. Too bad the team doesn't include a passing game.
Look at Ertz doin football!
Hey Doug, Groh, et al...
Maybe with the Eagles not having any decent receivers and the wind blowing at a gale force...
MAYBE DON'T THROW THE fargING BALL EVERY PLAY?
Nice patience from Goedert there.
Okay...Sanders is improving. And Peters is still f'n boss when healthy.
That's a touchdown.
Looks like he broke the plane before getting stripped?
I don't see them overturning that.
Let the refs ruin the game even more.
two feet and a knee...that's a TD
So the NFL Ref guru says TD which means NY says INT
Glad they got that one right.
Nice drive! :yay
Wow. Mills and Darby both recover for excellent plays.
What was Jenkins doing on that pass to Watson. farg
Jenkins is either getting really slow in his old age or really dumb. He looks out of place on 90% of the plays.
Barnett very lucky not to draw the roughing call.
Intentional Grounding not a thing anymore?

Intentional Grounding not a thing anymore?
I'll take the trade of no-calls given Barnett's hit on Brady.
That can't keep dropping interceptions. I mean they can and probably will, but they should stop.
Maddox and Jenkins will hopefully get the memo that the Eagles are actually trying to contest this game. Everyone else seems fairly locked in.
Yikes.
Pats deserved that recovery. Was he even touched on that fumble?
Pill popper done
Wentz got to deliver that pass
Quote from: Don Ho on November 17, 2019, 05:29:49 PM

On the second one, yeah. No better signal of ball insecurity than dropping the rock twice on the same play.
The momentum is moving against the Eagles at the moment.
One of these days they'll catch an INT
Maddox the hero on that play.
Patriots... bad?
Wow. Limiting to 3 kinda feels like success.
Pats offensive line is playing like shtein.
Good game plan by Doug today. I'm skeptical it can survive the typical BB halftime adjustments, but so far it's been pretty smart football by a team with severe playmaking limitations.
No one has any right to hop around like that in an NFL game and actually gain four yards.
Good news, they'll get the ball back again this half.
Lane is missed.
So is Howard.
What a relief.
Time for a two minute drill with one timeout and no one resembling an NFL wide receiver.
They're getting nothing without a PI.
Pathetic.
Good plan, too many mistakes in execution.
Doug needs a second plan now because BB will have this first one solved. I suspect he's aware of that, but can the team actually execute anything else, or will the second half be a Pats romp?
Also with Johnson out, Wentz should have a mental 4-second clock maximum and then dump the ball. Early on he was able to extend some plays but the end of the half showed the O-line can't protect him for that long anymore.
And the rout is on.
yawn, here we go. Patriots with obligatory opening second half drive touchdown.
McDaniels with front row seats to the shtein Show
Good team struggling, creative play calling, guess it helps when you have intelligent athletes who can execute.
WHAT THE farg WAS THAT?
At least the run game still works.
Big V upside down on his head sums it all up
This one's definitely over.
17 yards on 8 targets for the WRs.
More quality officiating.
Patriots trying to run out the clock already.
Hilarious. Utter bullshtein.
It was nice to think they had a chance for a little while.
Now Romo and Co are muted. Time to make a test.
Here comes a safety I guess.
They're right to boo.
Oh my God Wentz is awful today.
Defense giving 100%, offense not so much.
I'll defend wentz today as he has a shtein to work with but he is so off today.
Hooray, a sack.
It's sad because the defense deserves a win.
Top two WRs out and JJAW is still a complete irrelevancy. I think of all the crap like Billy McMullen and Josh Huff, and they must be like Jerry Rice compared to this kid.
Boston Scott night be terrible.
Agholor might also be terrible.
Wentz hit Agholor right in his weak point.
Any WR on the practice squad they can call up? Can't be worse than what we have now.
Let's just call it what it is, this team is terrible

DEFENSE
You suck, I suck, We all suck!
Eagles keep getting stuck in this situation where their WRs are all either old/injury prone, or a recent top 4 round draft pick that is garbage. The inevitable happens to the old/injury prone and we end up with a full set of guys who shouldn't be in the NFL but can't be dumped because they are dirt cheap and might still develop.
This is what happens when you go a decade without drafting a real NFL WR. And they've tried.
Time for Wentz' last stand. Try to not suck... as much.
Wentz is great when he doesn't have time to think.
Oh look, Peters is hurt again.
Hey Doug there's no rule that you can't run, down one score with 3 minutes and all your TOs.

WENTZ is at an all time low tonight. Under, over, d lines pas, etc
He is terrible!
Wentz wilting in the spotlight.
Act like your hurt, always helps
I tried to defend wentz today but that was all on him. Awful.
Every final drive Wentz forgets how to throw a football. Not wanting to be a WIP caller but it's true.
Can't blame anyone but Wentz on that final drive.

I had to beat J for the first post game BOO
Goedert and Agholar had a couple drops that were tough. Coverage was very tight, good defense by the Patriots. Wentz was mauled. And when he wasn't, missed the mark all day long.
The Eagles D was let down by the O again. Time and again they hand the ball back to the offense and before they can take a seat on the bench they're putting their helmets back on.
Listened mostly on radio
Defense good
Wentz brutal
Agholor CATCH THE BALL BITCH
There were a shtein ton of tipped passes at the line, but man.
Wentz has no wrs to throw to, both tackles went out and they didn't have a running game...his idle might be Jesus but he ain't working miracles
Not kidding sign AB. If he's a pain in the ass you cut him. No other options at wr and he's a top 5 talent just sitting there.
Agree on AB. Jeffery is toast, Agholor is a mess, Pimp is out of here, the rest stink. AB turns out to be a colossal douche, cut him. AO1 would probably pay half his salary he'd be so over joyed to have a competent human being at receiver.
With SD on the Wentz stuff. Yeah he was rough on a lot of throws but he also had a lot of passes dropped or were 50/50 balls thrown in tight windows where the receiver had to make a play and not let the defender slap it out of his hands. But down their top 2 WRs and starting tackle(s), he was surrounded by slop

Competent receiver. Competent human being is going a bit far with AB.
They had multiple shots to get a receiver already. They're rolling with the garbage they've got.
Wentz misses people like crazy on the final drive.
Be accurate ya fargin ginger
we all know their wr's were a farce but wentz was horrible
he made 1 nice throw and that was the last one to agholor which of course he dropped
they are paying carson like a top 5 qb and hes like a 10-15 qb. hes david carr, cuzzo, dak and maybe worse. 3 years ago we thought we had a special one. now you look up and the jesus freak ginger has been lapped by lamar, deshaun, mahomes and isnt in the same stratosphere as rodgers and wilson.
he doesnt suck. hes just not an elite level qb. you can still win with him. its just tougher.
At least he's slowly learning to throw the ball away. He still thinks he can superman every play, and it'll eventually end his career, but until then we get baby steps.
I'm seeing a Randall-like career, where he does the occasional amazing thing but is constantly held back from greatness by some combination of the humps around him, injuries, and his own bad decisions. We're probably in for another decade with a frustrating QB who is good enough to keep his job but not dominant. Feels like the franchise has been in this situation a lot.
Weird how his one great season had him surrounded by good talent and a good OC.
You can't have zero running game and zero wrs and expect Wentz to be successful. He was throwing the ball into tight windows and doing his best to make a play with what he had. Agholor/JJAW/PS Hollins are way worse than Thrash/Pinkstom/Freddie and Charles Johnson/Smalls/Na Brown.
Let's not get crazy here. Agholor had a good season once, and Matthews was a thousand yard* receiver once upon a time.
His inaccuracy was infuriating.

I listened to the majority of it on radio.
I saw the final few drives and saw him miss guys.
I watched. Granting that there weren't many "open" receivers yesterday, owing to both the excellent Patriots defense and the second rate receiving corps, I can recall at least two sideline passes that were just outright misses by Wentz. There were completions to be contested at least, if the throw was accurate, but they weren't.
Brady wasn't exactly perfect either, so let's say the wind had some say in the passing game. Either way, that's a winnable game if any receiver can catch. Or hell, if the DBs can catch. What did they drop, four interceptions?
Wentz was a dog yesterday
the wr's were worse and LJ going down was a killer
Some Baldinger breakdowns.

Yup...know exactly which passes you're referring too...not easy throws but ones he should have made. Wentz does a good job playing to his receivers strengths, if he sees Ertz/Goeddert/Alshon lined up against a shorter dB he knows to put it up because those guys have good hands. There's nothing he can do with Agholor who can't get open or catch, JJAW who is slow and he doesn't trust enough to throw to in tight coverage, Mack Hollins who just wants to play ST, and Jordan Matthews who only has a job because he knows their system. My biggest gripe with the play calling yesterday was not getting Sanders involved in the passing game. I know the one screen got broken up and Wentz has to scramble left but other than that nothing. He's still raw but he's the one guy they have with the speed to break one.

he missed hollins and ertz multiple times. made a number of no chance throws to matthews. held the ball too long. wore a dumb camo sleeve and an even worse camo jacket/black turtleneck combo postgame.
with that said no lane was huge and their wr's are a travesty. its not all on carson. but you are paying him 30 bones to be special and he aint. if he needs elite skill position talent and all pro o lineman to be good then maybe hes just nick foles but not as popular in the locker room.
Multiple times? Uhh no. I saw him try to force throws because no one was open. He was constantly under pressure by the leagues best D and the only offense he had to utilize were his legs and two TEs. Not having Howard was a killer because he's an easy 4 ypc with his Zeke-esque fall forward. No idea why Doug felt the need to run Boston Scott.
Not to mention Howard's blocking. And the problem he poses to a D when both he and Sanders are in the backfield. Lane and Howard were sorely missed.

two things can be true
wentz can be surrounded by an abomination of a supporting cast and also not be good enough
it wasnt too long ago we thought wentz was going to be a perennial mvp candidate. now hes barely a top 10 qb. again, not saying hes bad. but the most disheartening thing of this season is the realization that the franchise qb is somewhere between "good" and "above average."

If Wentz has a healthy Jeffery and Pimp they score more than 10 points yesterday
No doubt. Yes Wentz had a bad game but Brady was no better. Wentz had the worst receivers out there since god knows when - the Thrash, Pinkston, Freddie era was better than that shtein on Sunday, Lane out, the play calling was awful. FO had to have known Jeffery has not been the same since the SB, Pimp is injury prone and honestly I was expecting a string of 2 -4 games he'd be out but not one in their wildest dream thought we'd get only see one game out of him. It's basically Ertz, Sanders and Drops Jr. Goedert. Not even going to discuss Agholor.
Long story short yes, they put up 20+ if Pimp and Gimp are healthy.
Foles would have gotten killed the other day.
As for Wentz, merely having competent WR's who can occasionally get open or not drop pass after pass would be nice. I'm not even asking for Jerry Rice or Randy Moss. How about Donte Stallworth or Fred Barnett?
I mean right now those two in 2019 would be better than what Wentz has to throw to.

Rodgers probably takes five more sacks against the Patriots with the Eagles roster, but doesn't fumble that one time. Russell Wilson takes five less sacks than Wentz, has the same passing yards with 15 fewer throws, and wins by 20.

winner
Wentz has elite ability. I mean he just does. He proved that in 2017.
If he had Jeffrey and Pimp this is an entirely different conversation (and season too).
Whatever though.
I think it's a matter of definition.
Right now, Wentz to me is probably the 8th to 10th best qb in the league. That's good. Bordering on very good.
But in 2019 with identical rosters do you pick him as your qb with your life on the line?
He's clearly behind Wilson, Mahomes, Rodgers. I think he's behind Watson and probably Dak and I don't know how you take him over Lamar either right now. That's not even counting the old heads like brees or Brady.
I like Wentz. He's good. He was great in '17 and "good" last year and this year. But he's not a top 3 qb in the nfl right now.
the bottom line is that the eagles have a qb who can more than easily win a super bowl...which is more than a lot of teams can say...and thats all anyone should care about
hes just not elite in the sense that hes going to win a super bowl with david givens or make jordy nelson into a 100 catch wr
at the same time hes better than joe flacco ever was
the biggest concern is not on the field with wentz is how tightly does his contract handcuff howie

I put him into the 5-10 range and think with an adequate receiving corps and run game he can move into elite status which he already accomplished in 2017. Just gonna leave this then move onto the Seahawks thread
Receptions so far this season:
Saints WR Michael Thomas: 94
Eagles entire WR group: 93
Brees: Elite. Thomas: Elite
Wentz: Pretty good Eagles WRs: not good.
