Still farging amazes me how the phillies have taken over. At a bar in MD last night, every tv had the phils game on, people clapping and cheering the phils.

Another thing...Werth has put together a helluva year. But I don't think I have ever seen someone like him in the sense that he can look soooo bad against RH's at times but mash the hell outta the ball. He bails and goes to his knee so much that its hilarious.

conlin is a god who has more friends in the inner workings of baseball than munson has cut offs...if he says they arent willing to part with the players to get holladay then unless toronto lowers their ridiuclous demands they arent getting him

im eerily at ease with this tho....if this was last year id be going bonkers and killing the team for not giving up reading and clearwater for him...but this year if they get him id be super happy...if they dont it will be like eh whatever

I don't think anything I said was overreaction.

Pedro is done. He is going to tax the bullpen because he cannot go 7. When this team has Moyer and Pedro in the same rotation that is going to tire the bullpen. His velocity is down.

I hope he comes in and blows out his arm. That will save Amaro from himself.

Halladay is a pipe dream.

The fact that they should be signing Pedro, and are is good enough for me. Hell, Pedro could very well get hurt or suck, but they are doing everything they can. The owners got a taste of that playoff money and royalties, and are spending money now to get money.

probably not...the fact that lopez is in the majors and pedro is not tells me that pedro is done...i mean he has a HOF resume is available to the entire league and is essentially free yet isnt on a team?

that said i think hes worth a shot for a start or three...what do they have to lose

I prefer Rodrigo Lopez.

If he falters, then you call up one of the kids. Or hope that Ricciardi doesn't want the entire farm for Halladay.

Spend the money acquiring a RH bat who doesn't shtein the bed.

Bruntlett is horrible and Chris Coste is not much better. Mayberry needs to stay when Ibanez returns and they need another RH bat
