2009 Philadelphia Phillies - Season's Over, Time to Move On

Lidge needs to be DL'd. His knee is keeping him from getting consistent footing, and his shoulder is flying open on some of his pitches. I'm worried that he'll hurt his arm if he keeps going like that. Knee probably needs scoped.

Igy, I can't believe Happ will be starting tomorrow after pitching tonight. Carrasco, anyone?

Happ looked damn good in that inning, though.

more than likely tho kendrick is already at the allentown greyhound station

Both Lidge and Utley are in trouble. It's painful to watch both of them right now. Toss in Jimmy's pathetic AB's too.

Choke obviously made up for it with the 3R shot, but his AB after being up 3-0 after Utley got plunked was horrible. Maybe his worst AB ever. Up 3-0 and you check swing? 3-1 and then hack at a slider. 3-2 and hack at another slider.

igy...can Kendrick be any worse than Moyer and Blanton right now?

We'll never know...since you'll be taking in Andrew Carpenter, who has sucked in AAA.

But at least Cairo is gone. Maybe they will call up Mayberry after they send down Carpenter....

the 25th man on the roster really is irrelevant....with lidge and moyer done and the mets having shored up the back of their pen i dont see how the phils win the divison...perhaps a wild card depending on how the rest of the league shakes out

That team is gonna wilt again. I thought I read that JJ Putz has a bone spur in his elbow...will it hold up? He hasn't exactly been lights out in the 8th. Will Parnell keep it up? Will they have any arms left after Gangsta Jerry runs their asses into the ground? That manager is terrible.

im not calling it for sure....im just saying...phillies are minus lidge and moyer....a 41 for 41 guy and a 16 game winner and the mets have mad imporved their one weakness from last year....the back of their pen...that imo will be the difference...phils could win the wild card but mets are winnign the division
