Stuff you buy at GNC = needle in ass of roids.

Prohormones (considered performance enhancers) were readily available at GNC before they were banned. They do the exact same thing as steroids which is why they were made illegal.

When the Phils picked up Romero, he was practically unhittable.  Then he served a 50 game suspension to start 2009 and since then hasn't been anywhere near as dominant and has also had a few stints on the DL.

I'm no genius, but I can piss holes in the snow..... and it must be one hell of a coincidence that Romero's performance and durability both went downhill after he served his suspension.

I don't know if he was on the juice or what......it very well could have been something that he bought at GNC.  But whatever he was taking, it popped on the piss test and he obviously hasn't been taking it since and clearly isn't the same pitcher he was in 2008.

not to get into a debate but sheffield admitted has used creams but is in denial that they were steroids because he wasn't told they were plus in his mind steroids can only be injected.

Remember when everyone was saying how Romero deserved a contract extension? And then we were all happy he got it?

Romero still is unhittable it's hard to hit pitches that are no where near the plate.

You should never give a relief pitcher a contract extension. There are the exceptions like Mariano Rivera, Trevor Hoffman...etc... but overall they are, and should be completely dispensable players that you hope to catch lightening in a bottle with a handful of them at the same time. The very nature of any non groomed closer is that they are pitchers who are failed starters and don't have the stuff to close.
