yup
he just doesnt feel like hes an nfl player to me...even at his best in college i felt like he was getting what he got cause he was playing against college competition and big ten at that
to be fair tho i never thought he would have killed the combine either so hope im wrong again
So if I'm reading this right, he's a guy who isn't fast, likes to dance behind the line but isn't agile, can't catch, and doesn't block well.

dont forget fumbles all the time
Who is he going to displace?
From what the bullet points say about him I'm not sure he can displace water.
Sproles is not coming back, right?

no one...but you could have taken a rb in the 4th or 5th round who could be plugged in
Not if they trade those picks to get back into the third round to draft a QB!
Not crazy about this one.
53. Philadelphia Eagles: Miles Sanders, RB, Penn State
Finally out of Saquon Barkley's shadow last season, he showed off his impressive skills with his vision, quickness and decisive style to attack holes and set up his moves. He isn't nearly as explosive as Saquon and needs to clean up the fumbles, but everything else is there for him to be a productive NFL runner.
From the beat writers: "The Eagles used the 53rd overall pick to fill their biggest need on offense: running back. Penn State's Miles Sanders (5-foot-11, 211 pounds) might be the second-best running back in this class. Sanders has a profile to like with low mileage but great production in his one season and good athletic testing numbers. Even with Jordan Howard in tow, Sanders becomes the favorite to lead the Eagles in carries in 2019."
Poor mans Saquon Barkley
pittsburgh western pa trash PASS
Fumbles are an issue but he's got some shake to him. I was shocked they took him but they'd been linked for awhile. I was thinking they were going DB
I think Joejuan was their pick but he went to NE
What? Really?

Any reason he shouldn't win ROY? 7th most offensive yards from scrimmage in the entire NFL.
Because every Penn State fan says "we are" every time he rushes for four yards.
That shtein is bad enough during PSU games. Doing that during Eagles games is grounds for summary termination with extreme prejudice.

I don't follow it...he's a contender at least right? I'm sure there are some other rookies doing special shtein though.
Bosa? Minshew has crash landed of late.

A lot of support for Kyler Murray...he's been average but he's been the early favorite. Sanders has been dynamite.
Josh Jacobs has been the prohibitive favorite for a month at sportsbooks.

On #Eagles RB Miles Sanders (right ankle), I'm told it's a "pretty decent sprain." Early word is not high ankle, but testing tomorrow.
Sanders is known in scouting circles for his toughness, so wouldn't count him out next weekend (especially if testing shows not a high ankle).

If anyone needed to know how much of fraud PFF was before this it's good to note miles sanders wasn't in their top 50 rookies this year
Week to week with lower body injury
you mean day to day
I guess Jalen Hurts can fill in in the mean time
There are 11 runs of 70+ yards in the NFL this season. Sanders has three of them. All three were against top five ranked defenses. (Saints, Steelers, and Ravens).
There's only one other Eagles RB with two regular season TD runs of 70+ yards: Wilbert Montgomery.
Yesterday's long TD was the fourth longest in Eagles history. It was the longest since Brian Mitchell peeled off an 85 yarder vs. the Falcons in a 2000 stomping:

miles sanders on jalen hurtz: he's a natural leader and we needed that
ouch
Miles currently has the second best ypc (132 att / 746y / 5.7 av) of RBs in the NFL, behind Nick Chubb (133 / 799 / 6.0).
He's got the fourth best ypc of all players, behind Lamar (116/669/5.8 ), Chubb, and Kyler (115/712/6.2).

Probably didn't hurt that he was willing to throw the ball in a reasonable amount of time fairly accurately.

It can't be overstated what a natural he is at not backpedalling into his own linemen and pulling the ball down to take a sack.

Like some sort of quarterbacking savant stuff, right there.

Thought it was fairly obvious when Hurts went into the game last week the rest of the team felt the same way. They went from not giving a shtein to let's do this. Wentz's good guy act is only fine when he's playing well.
pretty interesting
QuoteTexans' Mark Ingram (5) is the only active player with more two-point conversions than Miles Sanders (4). NFL record is 7 (Marshall Faulk)
