I won the ticket lottery when the Eagles played in Jax. Paid $500/ticket. I was with Die Hard and our other buddies when someone approached me at a bar we were at. He noticed I had two tickets and offered me $5,000 in cash for the two. Right there. Counted out 50 hundred dollar bills out of a wad of cash as thick as your fist.
I turned it down because I knew if I didn't they would lose and it would have been because I chose money over the Birds.

I looked at flights and hotel and then the old lady reminded me that her friend and husband are in town here and we have dinner Saturday. They're eye doctors from Philly in town for some conference and they've not seen each other for years. I mentioned going up for the game and shockingly she was understanding. The wrench is my boss - he was supposed to be off this week for medical stuff with his wife. All the appts were pushed back until next week - so I wouldn't be able to take off since he will be out.
Flight was about a grand. Hotel was a bit high but that's expected. But factoring in over another grand or more for the ticket and I'm not gonna drop that for a trip where I'd come in Saturday night and then have to leave at the ass crack of dawn Monday and go right into work.

I often come up with weird scenarios in my head. one of the first things i saw when i got up to my seats was how little red was there. with how big their (bandwagon) fan base is and the secondary market being what it is, i thought it would be a decent amount. feel like there was more blue last week.
niners were playing a lot of 2 high. pass rush created some confusing pockets for hurts who kept bailing. so they ran the ball down their throats and as the game went on started using jalen more in the run game and dominated further. def figured they could stop the run on their own merit and give more help over the top...whoops
From the little I've seen from the SF camp, it was bad luck or unfair they had to play after their QBs had to leave the game. But they didn't just 'have to leave the game.' They got knocked out of the game. With good clean hits by a ferocious and relentless defense. It was 100% the Eagles doing. IIRC they get a rematch at the Linc next year. But unlike them, we should set an example of good hospitality and sportsmanship, with complimentary kleenex and maybe a new fainting couch section.

The niners fans I know from the Bay Area are all fairly normal...the whiney bitch element I'm seeing online is pathetic. I'm still laughing at their so called "takeover". They legit thought the crowd was gonna be 25% red. I was at the home opener last year, they had a half decent showing but still only maybe 5-10% of the crowd.
