Anyone had a good meal at a restaurant lately?

theres honestly probably 50 bars more hipsterish in cc or south phil than monks...especailly south phil...its been great for the cities tax base and restaurant scene but you have to look pretty far and wide these days to find an unironic bar in those parts of the city

SD, have you been to newportville inn lately ? I noticed they are advertising elk, wild boar etc. Wondering if it's any good. They been voted best German food three years running.

I've heard of it before but have never eaten there. I didn't know their reputation was that good until I googled them. Definite must try soon.

I get the gator gumbo every time. And I've had burgers from kangaroo, elk, alpaca, and even the mostly generic bison. I'm thinking emu, too. I like to stop there after the beer festival in town, so I'm usually more than a little buzzed, but I do remember liking everything.

I just saw it for the first time a few days ago.  I know there are more important things I should probably lose my shtein over, but my head exploded when I saw it.  The only thing I hate worse than advertising in general is really bad and insulting advertising.  Literally everything about this commercial farging sucks.  The biker chick with a pink farging bike is weak.  And the whole "rebel" thing doesn't even apply.  A million joints have been serving all day breakfast forever now and people have been begging McDonald's to do the same for as long as I can remember.  They aren't rebelling, they're just really farging late to the party.  But sure enough, there's going to be some MA soccer mom popping into Mikey D's in the middle of the afternoon and feeling like a total badass for ordering a shteiny McGriddle and hashbrowns.
