They just won 5 in a row. Yea Cole is a Hoyda and pitched like ass again, but 5 game winning streaks are gonna have to come to an end sooner or later.

yea. if they get swept we can whine. if they win the next 2 youre gonna be happy. if they lose 2/3 then none of us will be surprised because theyll lose a series on the road to a team thats probably better than them.

and the problem with losing 2/3 would not be a problem if they could win 2/3 against ANY team that might be better than them...or hell even as good.....how many times have they done that in the last two months

they beat the cubs 2/3 in early april
split a 2 gamer in milwaukee
split a 4 gamer in arizona
beat florida 2/3 at home
beat arizona 2/3 at home

not really impressive but they are 9 games over .500 and in first place. compared to the al and nl central they are inferior, yes. but at this point the logical world series is beating the mets, and despite losing 2/3 or 3/4 in every series to them they are 1 game better. so cheer up, murray.

milwaukee and zona were late april/early may
florida was late may
zona was last series before the break

their total record against .500 teams (including toronto and oakland who are basically .500 teams) is 22-30 (i think).

and arizona isnt even that good. they play in a terrible division and are only a few games over.

and it doesnt help the sillies that their best starter got rocked so now they are relying on a fat guy and a trashy guy to get something out of this weekend.
