the bat hit the ump....it's pretty easy to tell. (esp considering his dugout was where he was walking to)

maybe he didnt, but it sure looks like he did to me. If he wasnt trying to hit the ump where exactly was he trying to throw the bat.

The ump is pretty much the only thing in that direction.

I know. If anyone actually paid attention to the pitch, that was one of the worst calls I have ever seen, even for a replacement umpire.
