There are no words to adequately describe the awesomeness of this.

Cole was solid tonight, the bats did just enough, solid defense including 2 damn nice double plays and Lidge's slider was looking pretty sick. The velocity is probably gone for good on his fastball and he's not going to be able to just throw it by people whenever he wants, but even at 91 or 92, it can still be very effective when his breaking stuff is on.

the best part of this extended winning streak is knowing havas is losing his ass betting against them night after night. i think he's full of shtein about betting against any philly team ever, though.

There's room for improvement.

They're also the 2nd team in MLB to hit 90 wins (Yanks) but are 4th overall in record/winning % It should also be noted that 1 month ago today they were just +72 in run diff and are now +110.
