I believe Grisham was bunting for a hit. He was 0-forever and with the wet grass maybe he thought he could steal one. I also can't imagine Melvin calling that.

But Big Brain Bob not putting in Hader was monumentally stupid. And it worked out majestically in the Phillies favor.
