Taking the missus to Bahama Breeze tonight.  I've only been there once before and it was kind of uppity to me, but we have a gift certificate, so we're going.

I enjoyed it when I went there before, but the last time we went, my daughter got sick. I'm not sure if it was from the food or something else...but haven't been back since.

Noooooooooo!  IT'S A CH-CH-CHAIN RESTAURANT!   :poison :boom

It's not bad.  I went to one in Orlando and the food was good.

Bahama Breeze is like Red Lobster or Olive Garden.  It belongs in the other thread.

I'll let you know.  Last time I think the food was decent, but mainly because it's different than the usual chain fare.  I like the islandy taste, mon.

You ever been to any islands?

Father Demon

Lived in Hawaii for four years.

Different islands, so not the right answer.

Bahama Breeze really isn't that bad.  I'm just giving you shtein.  Enjoy.

Father Demon

Enjoyed Bahama Breeze.  Whoever categorized them as Olive Garden and Red Lobster-esque is wrong.

Had the Grilled Chicken Santiago, which had great spice, a nice pepper and tomato salsa, and a red-pepper sauce.  A side of yucca and a couple of rum-runners to wash it down.  Very nice indeed.

The wife had boring ass shrimp and mushrooms over pasta.  I told her to go for the flavor, and she ignored me.  She ate about a third of my dinner, leaving hers on the table.

Then we went to the casino, where I sucked it up at poker, only winning one hand.  Casinos blow.

Might as well head out the door now so you can get there around 10 and be able to spend max amount of time at Happy Hour.  Florida's hitting the ball all over the place.

went to this morrocan place marrakesh yesterday.  took my girl and my mom and sister.  i'd been there a few years ago but kind of forgot about it.

7 courses, family style, you site on little pillows and eat with your hands.  one salad dish, some kind of chicken pie, then a half roasted chicken with olives (delicious), beef kebobs, cous cous, fruit, and then baklava and mint tea.

and a belly dancer that was pretty smokin hot.  fun experience, good atmosphere, food is pretty good but nothing amazing.  mildly expensive though, and they automatically add in 20% regardless of your party size which was weird.  spent almost 3 hours there and the chick came over like twice.  foodrunner did all the work.  but if you're ever in dc and want to try something different, check it out.

I've eaten at Marrakesh, loved it.  Food is fantastic (or it was 7 years ago when I last ate there), atmosphere is great.  Now that I live down here again I will make another trip soon.
