I do that same thing when I hear a song on a commercial that catches my ear. The Southern Comfort commercial did it with Odetta, and so did the Heinekin commercial with Clairy Browne & the Banging Rackettes.

Sorry, my post was a bit misleading, but the 'new artist' comment was meant for Clairy Browne. Girl has a killer voice and puts a lot into it.
