2011 Philadelphia Phillies Season Thread (choking awful pos team, DIAF)

I want Ruiz to get more at bats than Valdez or Martinez because he is approximately 540 times the hitter that they are and he should be getting more at bats than either in every game they play in.  Where he bats doesn't matter to me so long as it's more than they bat.

Assuming Utley and Rollins both are out, my order is:

Victorino
Polanco
Pence
Howard
Ibanez/Mayberry
Ruiz
Valdez
Martinez
pitcher

I'd actually consider swapping Polanco and Ruiz in the order in general since Ruiz hits for the same average but gets on base at a significantly higher rate and they hit for equal power, but that doesn't really matter for the purposes of whether or not he should be batting ahead of either martinez/valdez.

I know why he'll do it.  Doesn't make it right.  But it is largely irrelevant.  I'm just amused whenever I see martinez bat higher in the order than Ruiz, who has become one of their better offensive players.

Did you see Nyjer Morgan's shenanigans tonight with Chris Carpenter of the cardinals? The ultimate icehole and I hope they bring Herndon or Schwimer in to bean the farger right between the eyes.

Whatever, Miller park is awesome. The fans are, meh, but the stadium is set up awesome to get in and out, the seating and for the kids. I got tix for Friday and Saturday. Taking the 3 oldest up early tomorrow for some tailgating. Lastyear we ended up with 6 balls from B.P. and sitting right next to the Phils Bullpen. You care
