Why did they go to Coonrod after Brogdon? Rather than Coonrod and then Brogdon

i think #1 they had just taken the lead, so joe wanted a shutdown inning. #2 if 1 batter reaches now acuna is up as the leading run and the lineup is turned over. they couldnt double switch anyone out and had to PH for him in the next half inning.

qoonrod has been actually really good. he didnt make a bad pitch to acuna.

Legit question: name me a worse defensive 1b - heck I'll expand the question to infielder to make it fair - in your lifetime than Hoskins. Howard was bad but managed to turn himself into a respectable fielder for a payday.

Not sure I would say Howard was ever a respectable fielder.

There have been a lot of brutal 1B with big bats so I'm not sure Hoskins is an all timer. Obviously he doesn't make up for it at the plate the same way that a Frank Thomas did though.
