I'd hit it.
I thought you were talking about Frank Reich
There are many sons returning for this game.

I can't wait to see him back out there throwing to
Out: Ajayi, Sproles
Questionable: Clement, Jeffery, Peters
Ouch.
Time to trade for McCoy.

Eh. We're more used to trading guys to the Bills and then getting them back later after they're cut. Let's see how all this #metoo stuff with Shady plays out.
I don't even know who RB4 on this team is.
ah i forgot about smallwood. can't wait.

they need an impact wr more than an rb. is there a reason they cant get blount back from detroit once they are 1-6 at midseason?
save your trade chips for an outside threat
So if Wentz blows out his knee again it was all still worth it, right?
This Carson Wentz guy is pretty good at football.
Did they even have a third down on that drive?
Guess Wentz is that good and Foles is that bad.
Cut Elliott.
Someone said it week 1 about how Elliott's going to cost them a game this year
I'm really starting to hate seeing the corners ten yards off their receivers inside the 20.
Soft ass defense. Wake the farg up.
Also - Elliott missed a 55 yarder in the pouring rain. Settle down.
I can't help but think a consecutive games streak should be, you know, consecutive games and not just games you played in.
Wentz is a system QB who can't handle a real game after the first 15 scripted plays.
Matthews getting a standing O for his catch and fall.
If he drops the next one it'll be like he never left.
Goddamn Wentz is amazing.
There's that Andy Reid-inspired clock management.
Good god those halftime stats were incredible, amazing birds only up by three
Luck could have walked for that first down. Nice drops on both ends of that drive.
Bad throw
Oh my goodness
Straight dogshtein play.
At least Mills knows how to tackle his own player
Rain, wet ball, whatever, thank god the colts got the drops
zesty play calling here
Would have been nice to get an iffy flag on that last play.
Special teams has been farging awful today.
They've been just as good as the offense and defense.
Love Ngata

Hey come on, they win as a team and they suck as a team
I don't like Clement as a punt returner.
What the farg with the special teams today
Just give the farging ball to Clement
Wentz needed more air under that throw to Agholor. Also, great they just lost.
Come back soon Alshon.
Stop holding fargers
Nice of Corey Clement to hold on his own run
All Smallwood had to do there was cut right, looked like he had a huge hole
Smallwood suspended for 4 games for PEDs.
The NFL is becoming a farging joke, that Clay Matthews roughing the passer they just showed is absolute horseshtein
The Colts need to try a little harder to pretend they don't have money on the Eagles.
where did the offensive line go
This is the weirdest drive I think I've ever seen
OK I know a lot of these flags have helped the birds but Jesus Christ let these fargers play

Weirdest thing I've seen in this game is Smallwood getting yards after contact.
Stop lowering your helmet you dopes.
Jalen Mills, Colts MVP.
I don't think Jalen Mills knows the difference between coverage and pass interference.
Sydney Jones please get your shtein together so you can replace that dumpster fire Mil
Where's the pass rush? Colts been up wentz's ass all day.

Wheeeeeeeeew
Jeez. What an ugly, unfun game this has been. I hope they don't screw it up here.
Colts are going to get the ball back

But they'll have no timeouts. What are the odds that they just throw bombs at Jalen Mills to get PIs down to the endzone?
Should have hit Ertz instead of Goedert.
plenty of time with good field position
Grugier Hill totally got blocked in the back
Game break to promote the 4pm game? Get that shtein outta here.
Prevent done right on that last drive. 2-1.

They needed 3 things:
1. The W
2. Wentz to look healthy.
3. No major injuries coming out of the game.
They got all three. Wentz looked like Season 1 Wentz, which is totally fine for his first game back. He should improve as he gets practice and the weapons come back.
Outside of Jalen Mills, there hasn't been a ton to fault the defense for this season. I think the D line has become slightly more vulnerable but hopefully that changes when they get Jernigan back. They need continued pressure up front because the secondary is nothing special (and wasn't last year either).
so your boy bailed in the lot because of the rain. his cousin bailed at halftime. the immortal supe never made it to the seats. this left me to fend for myself in 2H. i meandered around and found some empties lower level behind the end zone.
the game ended right in front of me. cool shtein. from these seats you have terrible depth perception when its on the other side of the field, but when the action is in front of you, its awesome.
as for the game, without looking at the tape, looked like colts schemed up the line well. lot of extra rushers and well designed stunts caused the pressure. smallwood ran better than ive ever seen. godirt is a zesty athlete. the eagles really really need alshon. was the hold that extended the winning drive legit? i saw nothing. oh and nice to have carse back. hes pretty good.

I don't remember seeing a replay on TV. There were very few replays of any of the penalties. Makes me wonder if this is some new dictate coming down from the league because it's not just a problem with the Eagles games.
they threw the flag by the qb, so i thought it was either an eagle hold or rtp....i mean ill take it but it smelled
It's a win.
The first Mills PI was bullshtein and the rule needs to be addressed. If a ball is underthrown and a player is running full speed and has to slow up what else do they expect the db to do?
Wentz looked fine.
They need Alshon back bad. I wouldn't be opposed to trading for a veteran receiver either.
The O line has been struggling with stunts and delayed blitz.
The defensive hold was legit. Dude grabbed Lane Johnson around the chest and when Lane tried to come off and block the stunting d lineman, he couldn't.

Mr. Hand?
every once in a while you need a ref win
The Colts had 11-77 and the Eagles had 10-110.
FIX!
watch the game not the box
I've only seen the first two so far but I think it's safe to say that actually watching the games is not really fun. One wonders....what the farg is going on here? This is football??
Maybe just watch the box score and errands.
There isn't a game better than the box
Hairy box?
The games I've seen thus far have been excruciating. Not just Eagles games either. The shtein we're being fed by the NFL isn't football. It's namby pamby PC bullshtein. What's happened is they've allowed the lawyers and insurance companies to legislate away the excitement of the game by all but disallowing violent contact. Basically it's glorified flag football and a heavily regulated & sissified version at that.
Good offenses are still scoring points, and good defenses are still getting sacks without flags. The only thing flags have done is highlight mediocrity.

this is as trump supporter as anything ive ever read
they dont want qbs getting hurt because qb injuries kill ratings and fantasy stats. its simple. the rules are there to prevent the qbs from getting touched. the sport depends on healthy, good qbs.
some of the RPT calls are ridiculous. hopefully they fix.
I don't have a problem with them trying to take some of the violence out of the game. I do have a problem with the games being constantly interrupted and shaped by referees.
Kind of ridiculous to watch a sport where the action takes place in ten second bursts once a minute, and then half of that action is being undone by penalties. No one who didn't grow up with the game is going to be attracted to watching that.

Football is a violent game. It's always been that way from the start. Legislating aggression out of the game will ruin it. That's the real problem they're facing. Football isn't even football anymore.

Huge difference between trying to take the head shots out and throwing a flag for falling on (or breathing on) a QB.
JPP grazed Rapelisbergers helmet last night and was flagged for roughing the passer. Reminded me of when Trent Cole grazed Peyton Manning's helmet and was flagged years ago

yea i mean this is fair take
flags so far this year are up about 1 per game from last season and 2 from a decade ago. pretty easy to guess where that extra flag is coming from. so on the whole its not like theres more holding penalties than before. they just need to fix up what constitutes RTP or at least make it reviewable
I saw that play and cursed the NFL.
If QB injuries so drastically cut the money stream that they must be protected regardless the effect is has on the game, why not disallow sacks entirely? Relegate the D line to solely a run-stopping function, put more players in coverage, and give the fans/gamblers a product that routinely yields combined final scores in triple digits. Would have fewer penalties to slow the game down, and everyone gets more money. Win win!
Quote from: MDS on September 25, 2018, 09:22:52 AM

ya think?
there were more roughing the passers last night in the first 25 minutes of the game than there has been in any full game since 2001
on pace for 187 this year (though to be fair they cant possibly keep up this pace) there were 105 last year
i still get way more mad at the pathetic PI calls in the league...i would say at least half of those are terrible calls....i dont even care about the total number...but giving teams brutal PI penalties that end up always in a first down and many times giving the offensive team huge chunks of yards they didnt deserve has cost teams games on the regular and has borderline ruined the sport
I just want to add that Rapelisburger's flop was at least as awful as the flag itself. You gonna act like that, maybe you should go to the sideline and have concussion protocol initiated.
PI should be reviewable. It's insane that something can be a 40 yard play and there's no mechanism for making sure the call was right. Even if it's upheld 90% of the time at least get rid of the egregious ones.
how they dont have the college PI rule that caps it at 15 yards is beyond me
PI should be 15 yards rather than spot fouls.
And shouldn't be any auto 1st down

illegal contact penalties have TRIPLED this year
its a complete joke what they give the offense in this league
source?
18: There was an average of 0.5 Illegal Contact penalties per team league wide.
17: There was an average of 1 Illegal Contact penalties per team league wide.
http://www.nflpenalties.com
QuoteIllegal contact penalties in the NFL have tripled this season compared to the same period last year, a largely unnoticed factor among those fueling a record-setting start for offenses.
There have been 24 such flags thrown this season, compared to eight in Weeks 1-4 of 2017. Officials penalized teams only 38 times for illegal contact during the entirety of the 2017 season, prompting league officials to make it a point of emphasis for 2018.
Both narratives are fake.

This is per team, not per team per game. You're comparing 4 weeks to a whole season. That site doesn't count offsetting or declined penalties, which I'm guessing is the difference between the 16 and 24 count for this season.
QuoteIllegal contact penalties in the NFL have tripled this season compared to the same period last year, a largely unnoticed factor among those fueling a record-setting start for offenses.
This is because the number of illegal contact penalties at the beginning of the 2017 season was unusually low, not because this year is unusually high. The number in 2018 is lower than in 2016 and way lower than in 2014 or 2015.
promoting offense in the nfl is not a narrative....its a real thing
the move towards offense has been going on for many years
the point is it got to low last year so they had to artificially inflate it back up this year cause all they care about is offense
pathetic
thats sort of a knee jerk reaction but the larger point is yea they want offense
so does the nba
so does baseball
so does college football
people like offense
no one goes to the extreme like the nfl does tho to basically make it all fake
