The All-Star format this year is four teams, one for each division, 3-on-3 the whole game, with the winners of the 1st and 2nd periods facing off in the 3rd.  The captains were announced today: Ovechkin, Jagr, Kane, and .....thrice-waived Arizona enforcer John Scott

BETTMAN: HOCKEY'S NOT FOOTBALL

At the NHL's general manager meetings in Boca Raton, Florida, on Wednesday, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman was asked about NFL executive Jeff Miller's statement Monday that football could be a cause of brain disease.

Bettman had little reaction.

"Well, first of all, I don't feel that it's either necessary or appropriate for me to comment on what the NFL either says or does," Bettman told assembled media. "Secondly, I think it's fairly clear that playing hockey isn't the same as playing football. And as we've said all along, we're not going to get in a public debate on this."

It must be all that kicking, throwing, and catching in football that causes the CTE.
