Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

2 wild cards in the NL huh?  That might happen.

Also, how the hell does St Louis win a series between Atlanta and Frisco?

In December, I figured the Phils to be 75-80 wins.  Today, I see the ring for them.

Why?

1.  It's spring- that's what it is all about.
2.  I see Myers fully taking on the ace role this year, and I LOVE Madsen being in the starting rotation (I really believe he should have been last year)
3.  Howard-Utley-Rollins- a young core
4.  Addition of Rowand- Love his fire and he just won it all.  This team has never had that before.
5.  Uncle Cholly may be just the right manager for this team.
6.  Two words:  Pat Gillick (and three more:  NO ED WADE!).  Gillick's won before, and isn't afraid to pull the trigger in the middle of the race.

I like the lineup and even the starting rotation (believing that Myers comes into his own).  The only part that scares me is the bullpen- and not even as much as you'd think.  I'm not sure if Gordon will remain the closer all season. but he'll be passable until Gillick can get something done.

for $25M a year...anything short of MVP would be considered a complete and total failure on a-rod-in-the-ass's part.

a player can be one of the best in their games, and still be a whiney bitch. it happens all the time.
