i wrote it a long time ago and copy and pasted it here
a long time ago i used to run one with over a hundred people in it...used to literally cut the lines out of usa today blow it up on the copier in the office i used to work and then fill out every sheet as picks came in...then have to grade them every week....and then change everyones records for that weeks standings to go out....after a while i couldnt take it anymore...
i wish i could find a program to do it where people could put their own picks in but all pick em pools are set up for every game to be picked...and that is bullshtein...takes no skill to just fill out every game and cross your fingers....this way you target the games you feel strongest about...seperates the real from the fake...aint no women winning this pool
anyway i figured i start a mini version of this again just for shteins and giggles....for all i know there might be three people in it...but no matter if it just me and someone else its still fun to see how well you do over a full season
I like the risk/reward and look forward to barely avoiding last place.
I'm a wee todd when it comes to the spread...so...an example is....if Eagles are -7 vs. whomever...and they win by 8, that means they beat the spread, right? And if whomever loses to the Eagles by 7 or less, they also beat the spread?

The line for the game last night was: NY Giants -3.5 Dallas
So if had picked the Giants, then they would have to have won by 4 points for me to get credit for a correct pick.
If I had picked the Cowboys, they would have have to have lost by less than four points, or won outright.
The main question I have is, do I have to use some kind of lingo other than which team I'm picking?

I don't like that line at all. Seattle is a good team coming off a hard fought win. The Niners are a good team playing at home coming off of a humiliating loss. The urgency has to be on the Niners side but Thursday games are usually sloppy as shtein and pretty unpredictable.

Mildly like Tennessee giving a field goal, as they're a more complete team than Buffalo. Also picked Green Bay, even though it's a sucker road favorite line; Cincy, because they suck but Pittsburgh does too and is overrated; and Oakland... because any time Oakland is favored by more than a FG and a team as awful as Jacksonville is traveling across the country - even after a bye - I take notice.
