Rome

Serves you right for betting on Temple.

FF was right; I ended up betting the KState-Mountie game.

I forgot they were in FOX with my man Gus on the call. Gus is the upset maker so I took the Wildcats ML and spread.

I have bet the dog on every fox Saturday nighter and covered.

Stage 1: Denial.

In other news, I went about 2-10 through the first few weeks of CFB this year, so took the last few off from gambling. Made two big bets today and lost them both. I think I'm done for the year, this is ridiculous.

That's how I've been on nfl lately - ice cold.

PhillyPhreak54

Cats up 45-7 with 9:00 in the 3rd.

Win.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Arthur Brown Jr = draft him and let him learn behind Ryans

Which isn't really much...no biggie.

I'll make it back.

My issues are simple:

A. Over a long enough period of time, the house always wins.
B. I have to bet too much (a la $400) to get a rush out of it.

For sure - I have been gambling enough to have learned when to squirrel away profits. My first couple forays into gambling I wasn't disciplined to walk away with profits. I would play until my budgeted amount was gone. Now I know when to step away from the tables or cash out from my betting account.

Its weird because when shooting dice or playing blackjack I get nervous when I have $100 on the felt. Last Super Bowl trip when I was at the Venetian I was on a hot dice table and worked my way up to all numbers covered and $240 each on the 6/8 with $250 in odds...I was a goddamn nervous wreck. The shooter eventually sevened out and I took my profits from that roll and split.

Yeah, squirreling away is easy when you win a lot. I've had similar situations at the tables. With sports, my pattern has been to slowly bleed my bankroll, make most/all of my money back on one big bet (a la Giants in last year's Super Bowl), then walk away.

Anyway, I hated most of the lines today. Doesn't look too exciting.

I agree with FF - nothing terribly enticing about the lines today. I am a little gun shy on NFL right now too.

BUF -3
HOU -6.5
NYJ +10.5

I like the Jets because the Pats defense is not good.
