Gen Kill was supposed to be boring.  Just about how pointless the shtein was.  The cast was great, and i think thats what sets Simon apart from all other writer/director/producers out there, he find actors or real people and doesnt let them ruin scenes.

well, i just got done season 2.  it's not like i had seen it and then seen Gen Kill

yeah but he played the same character (minus the self hate).....its no wonder simon cast him in that role...what im saying is i cant believe you watched season two and didnt immediately upon seeing zig say "thats the guy from generation kill"

its another thing i didnt like about gen kill...i was seeing ziggy the whole time

gen kill didn't really rock me.  i watched a few but didn't care that much about it.

ziggy pops back up again in generation kill. his name is different but its more or less the same character

I knew the ripped fuel guy from Generation Kill looked familiar but I could never put my finger on it.

easily deserves it...he has more powerhouse scenes than maybe anyone in the history of the show...and its ironic that you make that dumb comment then ask where slim charles is...frank had way more screen time than slim did...

for the record i love slim but saying frank didnt deserve a one is flat wrong...could you find four or five others as deserving im sure you could...but frank more than earned it

slim was the farging coolest character in the show. easily my favorite.

yes sobotka had great scenes but the 1's are easily omar, lestor, daniels and the bunk. hanging around for 5 seasons must count for something.
