I was reading this morning that the giants and baltimore were really high on him

that's kind of like temple getting a guy who was being recruited by lsu and florida state

QuoteThe Baltimore Ravens are looking to add more depth in the secondary as the organization is reportedly targeting Los Angeles Rams safety Rodney McLeod.

McLeod has local ties to the Maryland area as he was born in Clinton, Maryland and also went to college at the University of Virginia. McLeod was signed by the Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2012 and has been the Rams starter in each of the last three seasons accumulating 184 tackles, seven forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, five interceptions and one touchdown.

During the 2015 season, McLeod ranked ninth in the NFL in coverage according to Pro Football Focus. If McLeod does sign with the Ravens, he would most likely play the role of free safety which is where he spent most of his time with the Rams on defense.

If McLeod can build upon his 2015 season, he could turn out to be one of the better under the radar signings of the entire NFL offseason.

The Daniel signing was good but this has the potential to be a great signing.

Howie > Hexy?

This may be blasphemous to some, but the Eagles finally have a replacement for Dawk.

They could end up sucking horribly but these are good, solid moves.  FFS, Daniel was the best option if Bradford didn't re-sign and the nerd still got him.

I really like McCleod, though.  Big time boomer.

Nice to see them with a pair of tough safeties again. Hopefully it rubs off on Rowe et al.

toughness hasn't been their problem....getting beat for scores has...not all on the safeties of course but they need to cut way down on the number of td passes they give up

$8M signing bonus (cap hit of $1.6M/year)
2016 = $1M (fully guaranteed)
2017 = $4M (fully guaranteed)
2018 = $6M ($4M becomes guaranteed in March 2018)
2019 = $7.5M
2020 = $8.5M

2 years $12 million. He's solid but unspectacular. They've got something brewing

I hope so.  Mills and McLeod as the starting safeties is not making my football dick hard.

Is it just me or doesn't it make more sense to move Rasul to safety instead of Mills?? Dude's built like a SS at least

It's not just you.  All of Eagles fandom has been saying that from the day he was drafted.

Or Maddox. He has good range

I don't see Darby coming back...so the cbs as it stands are Douglas, Jones and Maddox...something's gotta be in the works

A shame.

Hopefully Wallace steps up. Actually I hope they put Wallace in and not try to run Epps out there forever.

McLeod is a solid Eagle. Outperformed expectations, conducted himself like a pro.  At this stage in his career,  an especially devastating injury.
