the funny thing is i never once said anything about him and you came darting in to protect him

the dumb thing is that the Dodgers had every chance to take him back but didn't bother, he spent his first year in the minors

I just looked up his minor league numbers and noticed that he was Rule 5 drafted twice, first by the Padres in 2003 and then by the Phillies in 2004.  I didn't realize that either.

when he was 18 they drafted him, but he went to ucla instead of signing
