Joey B 34/34 376 3 TDs
Joe B won't get that many yards in the air with his somewhat depleted receiving crew, but he'll extend plays and move around outside the pocket in ways that will remind you of when Wentz was good.
That tie sucked but was probably my favorite eagles roadie ever.
I ended up playing craps with Jonathan Joseph and some other bengals late night at some shtein casino in Indiana.
WR options for Sunday against the Bengals
DeSean Jackson
Greg Ward
John Hightower
JJ Arcega-Whiteside
Of these, I have the most confidence in Ward. Jackson is one bad attitude away from pulling up lame, Hightower gets open but can't catch, and JJAW makes Freddie Mitchell look like Randy Moss.
Amazing that the number of signed WRs who are unavailable now matches the number who are able to play on Sunday.
They have to elevate Deontay Burnett, right? He's greater than JJAW in every way except the amount of capital the Eagles have vested in him.
Also...book this: Cox won't play. He's "day to day" right now with an abdominal injury. At 0-2, facing the farging Bengals...you sit him down and let him heal, right?
I couldn't care less how much of a drop off it is behind him, he's the best player on the team, you can't play him hurt in a lost year against a shtein team.
Unfortunately this season he hasn't been in the best player on the team, or even on the defense. I would give that accolade to Slay.
Fair point. I forget Slay because he's got only two games in an Eagles uniform, and since he's not being targeted, I overlook him.
No Geno Atkins for Cincinnati. Herbig Kelce Pryor won't complain about that.
Herbig will move to LG and Pryor will fill the RG spot.
Why do I see these asshats going up by double digits early only to have Burrow lead a comeback to make it close or win.
Because you're an optimist and think Wentz will play half a decent game.
Fletcher Cox is active. So are Deontay Burnett and Genard Avery. Hurts the #2 QB again.
Inactives:
• G Jamon Brown
• S Rudy Ford
• RB Jason Huntley
• WR Alshon Jeffery
• WR Jalen Reagor
• QB Nate Sudfeld
• DE Casey Toohill
are we sure alshon is even alive
Well the game checks aren't piling up, so at the very least his estate is in good working order.
Eagles 33
Bengals 20
When was the last time you thought the Eagles would lose a game?
Probably Pats or Seahawks last year.
I'm all in on the 0-16 hype train. Can't wait to see them blow a #2 pick after a coinflip.

And draft Trevor Lawrence...who gives a farg about super bowls it's all about being a qb factory
Second offensive play of the game, after a 12 yard Mixon run to start, Gerry didn't know what the D call was...and Burrow went right at him for an 8 yard completion to Higgins.
Atta baby Sweat!!
Sweat coming on, isn't he.
Motherfarger
Are you kidding me
I was planning on not watching today and I lasted 11 minutes. Sucks having no self respect at all.
Wentz has got to go.
What do you say? Mfer.
I'm glad I'm half watching with the sound off.
Jesus this defense has no farging idea what is going on.
Man, I love a Q1 timeout, even better when the opponent has their punter on the field.
Yay coaching.
bengals are a team going nowhere with a turnover machine on the other team and they punt on 4th and 2 from the +50
I didn't get that either. You have two great RBs, and the ball was just handed to you...go for it...worst case scenario, you're right back where you were when the Eagles gave you the free try.
Fine, just have Wentz run the option every play.
cheap penalty...not worth the flag at all
I have zero belief they're getting a touchdown out of this drive.
I hate Doug's playcalls today.
God damn he is making literally the wrong choice every play. Hurts time?
And yet somehow I'm still disappointed.
Why you taking Sanders out and putting Clement in at the goal line?
Jason Peters is done. Not just done but oh my god is he bad done.
three points at a time to infinity and beyond!

Sadly yes. RIP to an all timer.
Also Wentz missing people is frustrating and Doug's plays do suck
Nice to see the line holding up today.

100%.
You have to go Seattle style and design your offense around the idea that your line sucks. Wentz is using his legs more today which I like but they also need to roll him out more and keep extra people back to chip.
They likely expected their line to be a strength until about a month ago so it's kind of a scramble for them to work around it.
The play before that sack, the dump off to Sanders...Wentz makes him leap for the ball..no time to turn and make anything of it despite being in open space when the ball arrives.
Minor thing, but Wentz is just not accurate right now, at all.
No, the accuracy is pretty much the major thing. The offense works fine if not for that.
Defense pitching a solid game against this garbage offense at least

What I mean is, it probably didn't matter too much to that play, but it sure as farg didn't help Sanders to have to jump for it.

Yep. I said the same thing. They don't have the balls to do it but it's Hurts time and Hurts isn't even a legit NFL QB. At this point neither is Wentz, so...
He's determined to go full McNabb.
Obviously we aren't getting the all 22 but has there been an open WR today?
By all means let's lose our composure in a tight game.
What a shteinshow.
Why are we not seeing more run calls? Sanders has looked good. O line seems to like pushing forward.
Sanders should be running the ball about twice as often as he is.
I liked that shot Fletch gave Burrow there. This is the NFL, bitch.
Getting 2008 flashbacks with this game. Hopefully Donovan McWentz knows the tie rule.

If Barnett or Malik do that, guaranteed flag. Cox was spared because he's so f'n lovable that even refs give him benefit of doubt.
Saw 85 and thought it was finally an open WR but it was Richard Rodgers.
The more of Sanders I see the more I like him. Good work blocking upfield there.
So Wentz is the leading rusher in this game, yeah? Despite the two capable backs this team has.
It was real sad just seeing Peters stand there while the guy he was blocking just grabbed the RB as he sulked.
I like Ward too...
these are the 2 worst teams in the nfl
Come now...the Jets are still in the league.
Maddox with the great breakup
First team to score a defensive TD wins.
Right down the field. Rinse and repeat.
Mills alone in coverage = PI
textbook PI...dunno what this talking head is on about...Mills earned that penalty
Can't wait to see this 2 minute drill with no line, no open deep threats, and no passer accuracy.
Bigger chance the Bengals score again this half than the Eagles.
I'm old enough to remember when the Eagles had a good safety last year.
Gonna be real hard for the Eagles to come back when they're down two scores like this.
Quote from: Diomedes on September 27, 2020, 02:28:28 PM

Adam Archuleta's announcing is worse than these teams.
That non-pass thing they did that picked up a bunch of yards, is that legal?
Burnett in the clutch
lol bungles
Very nice to end the half.
Score coming out of the half too and I'll be half happy
Greg Ward is the best WR on this team for two years running.
farging cut JJAW.
Deontay Burnett and Greg Ward are better football players.
Thank you Bengals for allowing the Eagles to pad their defensive stats.
Who is more done: JP or DJax?

Peters. Jackson might catch a pass at some point this year.
Quote from: QB Eagles on September 27, 2020, 02:54:12 PM

JP is way more done. Jackson looks like a possession receiver, but still an NFL player.
Hurts is fat.
Doug not even giving the offense a chance with those last two calls.
The Bengals have discovered who the playmaker is on offense and have adjusted accordingly.
Maddox is not an outside corner.
Maddox hurt
In all my many years watching this game I have never seen a team give up scores after the offense puts points on the board as much as this one does.
It is just incredible. The defense is horrendous so that's one reason but my god...

A longstanding pattern with these Doug Pederson/Jim Schwarz Eagles.
This is garbage.
That was horrid. Put the ball exactly where it should never go on that throw. Terrible terrible terrible.
Slay down FUfargCKC
Almost as predictable is a Wentz fargup after the defense gives up a TD.
Honestly shocking how badly he's fallen off after 2017.

I said he was like RGIII but it's actually worse since the Eagles gave him a mega contract. So the price of switching to Hurts or someone else is effectively having a much small salary cap than other teams.
I hope this is the start the end of QB mega-contracts across the NFL.
Finally a good pass and it was almost broken up by Hightower.
Burnett, Hightower, and Ward are the WRs
Lol
Looks like Hurts is gonna fit in around here.
Didn't miss a beat. Did miss a handoff.
I'm sick of these two yard checkdowns with no room to run on long downs.
Jesus. How the hell did he get so inaccurate?
Has he hit a receiver in stride since the 2017 season?
bench this motherfarger
I'm done with him.
He's farging awful
I hope they trade Wentz straight up for Foles.

comic bullshtein here
CBS replay crew has had a rough game too.
Can't blame them...they're team what, like...G, or H? The crew that gets the worst CBS game of the week.

Whoever noticed that is the MVP of the week.
lol
giovanni bernard running like it's 2012
I'm glad they won that challenge. It was worth it.
Burn down the Linc
23-23 tie
There's no way this doesn't end with a Wentz turnover.
How the farg is Sanders supposed to have even a chance of doing anything with that little dump off when he has to leap for it?
hey, maybe the yellow flags can win the game for the Eagles
Bengals just walking them down the field to really twist that knife when this ends.
IF the Eagles somehow score....please Doug, just go for two and end this torture one way or another.
The worst screen team somehow got worse because of Wentz. Amazing.
What's the big hurry with all the TOs... farging run the ball
Run the goddamn ball.
Third and 3, can't wait to see this interception.
Gotta hand it to Wentz... he's been brutal but you can tell he at least gives a farg
Well I did say run the ball...

I'd like to think if he gave a farg he'd work on his glaring accuracy issues. But at least he dove without blowing out a knee this time.
Coward Doug should understand I have things to do today and don't want to spend another hour waiting for this shteinfest to end.

What moron on the CIN sideline decided to go after Slay on every play in OT.
That ball very visibly came out bad. Is he having trouble with his grip or something? Jesus.
Wentz literally trying to throw the game away.

Carpal Tunnel from fingerbanging his wife.
It would work better if you ran the ball on first down, Doug.
lol wtf
This farging guy...horrible throw
Next week we find out he's been playing with a broken wrist.
That 2nd down Burrow pass was there for the picking. The bad news is someone on one of these teams will have to make a play to avoid the tie.
I can't believe I'm watching these iceholes limp their way to a tie.
Defense coming up huge. It's in the offense now
Even the refs are dragging this thing out. Jesus.
I hate going ultra conservative here. At least find a safe short pass.
See ya in Canton JP.

why in the world do you punt
wish we had the fans in there booing them to oblivion
Fire them all into the sun. Now.
go for the 64 yarder
go for the first down
but DON'T fargING PUNT
shtein on all the sheets in this one.
lol wtf
HAHAHAHAH
when did Doug become a Hoyda?
Playing for the tie? That's bullshtein.
Props to lil guy on the title of the thread.

this team is absolutely horrendous....memories of 1998
doug should be fired and launched into the sun
The defense is trash and Wentz can't find his ass with both hands.
It's awful.
Got Niners, Steelers, Ravens coming up, and Doug's out there playing for a tie like that's something better than a loss. Fireable offense.
the same dude who called for a trick play in the super bowl calls for a punt in the waning seconds of OT so his 0-2 team doesnt have a tiny chance of being 0-3
what happened to him
As I recall it, Louisville Slugger Foles called the play, and Punt-For-The-Tie Doug followed his lead.
nick suggested it but doug said ok
doug's explanation for the decision was out of this world. just go 0-15-1 and pack it in.
So it's Wentz's fault for not suggesting that Doug kick the FG.
Logic! :yay :evil :boom
This is Philly Doug. How do you not go for the win, even if odds are low. Not like this is Week 15 and you're in a tight playoff race.
Linc would have set a decibel record for boos.

Yeah maybe he's had too much credit for saying ok.
In the end it came down to a battle of who wanted it least, so they both are winners.
I hope he's blasted this week for this.
And Wentz ain't it. Can they trade him without a massive crippling cap hit?
Quote from: PhillyPhreak54 on September 27, 2020, 05:45:48 PM

Realistically can't trade him until after 2021 season and can't cut him until after 2022.
Only exception to that would be if he balls out the rest of this season enough that a team is willing to give the Eagles a huge haul to make the dead money worth it. But if that happens you probably won't want him to be gone.
was this a worse game than the 2008 tie?
that team somehow wound up a play away from the super bowl before 5 pooped his pants again....this team is not going to be doing that
Since they got a farging ring out of it this time, it's a little hard to be upset about the collapse. I still want the whole roster blown up, coaches and Howie fired, and a new color scheme, but whatever.
^^this^^
And damn did I pick the best game to not watch! Didn't get to bed till 3 AM and there was no farging way I was getting up at 6:45 AM to watch this circus. This is the first birds game in my life I have purposely missed. Missed a few because traveling for business on a Sunday and London game at 2:45 AM which I was able to DVR and watch immediately upon waking up but never, ever missed a game just, well because.
I knew something was up when I got up turned on my phone and saw all the vomit and middle finger emoji's from Seabiscuit.
Watched condensed game on NFL Ticket with wife during dinner. Even knowing the outcome and reading all the comments, 7 hours later it was painful but I had hope. Sanders, G. Ward, Ertz, Jake, D Line (albeit the 100 sacks and hurries were against a rookie) were the positives. Sick of Wentz and his stupid decisions, Doug and his vagina, joke of a secondary, LB's getting progressively worse. AND Peters needing two TEs helping him!
Burrow looked impressive.
