i said it immediately when they pinch hit for him in the top of the 8th. there was nobody on and 2 outs. i can see doing that if there are men on and you have a chance to get more runs. but as soon as manuel did that i said Cole should have gone into the 8th, considering the status of the bullpen lately with the 13 inning game.
