he didnt flop in chicago...remember he was taken out of high school as a project not ready to play in the nba...took him three/four years to start coming around then chicago inexplicably traded him

I remember they expected him to start and make an impact right away, didn't they trade Brand for him? and teamed him up with that other lazy high school kid that blew up on deep dish pizza after he got his first paycheck.

Chicago didnt "inexplicably" trade him. They were continuing to die as a team and needed something for more than a guy who was just there to board and get a couple blocks a game.

Sarge nailed it--hes in the perfect environment surrounded by a bunch of bigs.

he became the best rebounder in the nba the season after they dealt him....he was clearly coming into his own as a great defender and rebounder...and they trade him for garbage...thats inexplicable in my book

thats because he was put into a better system with better coaching when he came into his own. he was always up there in rebounds.

it would be inexplicable if had the 12/12/2 avg and Chicago got rid of him, but he was stale there with zesty ass coaching.
