how is the bullpen a mess and concern?  durbin and contreras have been great, baez has struggled but will come around, romero is rounding back into form and madson/lidge are out with injuries.  you can anticipate injuries, especially one as dumb as madson's.  they wanted to protect themselves in case lidge blew up, so they signed baez who has closing experience.  what else would you have done, other than sign Brett Myers to a 20 year contract?
