aaron altherr shouldnt come out of the lineup for the foreseeable future

Sorry guys for the dumb question.  Got the game on and my son recognized TMac's voice and asked me if he's employed by the Phillies or is he like a free lance announcer.  ????

The actual employer of the various broadcasters has varied over the years. The TV guys work for CSN now. Pretty sure Franzke and LA work for the team.

Further complicating the picture, the Phillies own a quarter of CSN.

i believe the tv guys work for csn but not tmac...he was grandfathered into working for the phillies

when the new tv deal happened csn demanded wheels get fired and they controlled and hired his replacements

pretty sure if you call 162 games for the last five or whatever years straight then you are not "freelance"

actually really liked what eickhoff did tonight...granted it was the braves but he was really off yet still had 7 k's and only gave up  2 hits and a run in 5...you can judge a pitcher a lot by how well he does on his off nights and this was a really impressive off night

any other pitcher on the roster tonight gives up 6 runs on 8 hits
