QuoteBirds reveal they won't raise ticket prices

In case you were wondering when there would be good news concerning the Eagles, it's here: Mark Donovan, the team's senior vice president of business operations, said that there will be no increase in the price of a ticket for the 2006 season.

The 6-10 season did not discourage the Birds from raising prices, Donovan said. Having gone up before the 2005 season, they were going to stay put no matter how this season turned out.

"Every 2 years we look at it, see if we're where we want to be," he said.

Donovan said the Eagles will look at comparable NFL numbers and look more specifically at how they match up against other similar markets.

The Eagles in 2005 ranked 10th on Team Marketing Report's Fan Cost Index, which looks at the cost of a family of four attending a game. It adds up the price of four average-priced tickets, in addition to parking and concessions. For the Eagles, that came to $349.35, a couple bucks below Baltimore and less than a dollar above Denver. As you'd figure, champion New England topped the list with an FCI of $477.47.

The Eagles ranked ninth in the price of an average ticket, at $66.09.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Like a family of four could "buy" tickets.  What a farging joke.  And even if you wanted to, you'd have to do it through StubRape, at more like 200+ a ticket for last row, upper deck seats.
Anyone but Reid.

yeah right.

They are smart.  Raising tickets right now would have created yet another negative PR bomb.

BTW: I thought Maggie in Caddyshack was hot.  Not as hot as Lacy Underalls, mind you, but still, pretty damn hot.

The actress was hotter as the underage grocery clerk that Pinto gets with in Animal House.

SBL Holders have to buy them if they want to keep their season tix.  Nothing like a price kick right before a 6-10 season.   :)

It's pretty bad when I get tired of the EMB.  I didn't want to use the name ROD for fear being blamed of starting some kind of trend to come over here and ruin this board.   :)
