man on paper theres some really great match ups...problem with the nfl they all too often dont live up to expectations
Look at those farging announcer teams. I don't see a single one that won't be infuriating to listen to.
Spero Dedes, Steve Tasker
over/under on how many times these two gush all over fatass ?
lol at this lightning delay...how's the weather in Baltimore? Betcha it's good enough to have football.
I betcha Goodell is pissed. Good for him. This is what he gets for allowing Ryan Secrest to promote his league on the field
its farging raining....you play football in the rain
like the gov said pussification of the nfl and america
i dont think ive ever seen random frisks like that with the players coming out of the tunnel

not saying this at all because of the delay there...the weather here is seriously absolutely perfectly gorgeous...slight chill in the air and not a cloud in the sky

igy...how hard were the O's ripped for not giving in?
its wasnt terrible cause the o's made the playoffs last year and had a great chance to do it again....so lots of people including me believed they shouldnt have moved.....of course in the last couple weeks with the ravens game getting close and the o's starting to falter haters have started to come out of the wood work
wrecking your team's deep threat WR's leg has to be up there as far as rookie mistakes go
torrey smith is their #1 but still trawick is so cut

damn thought i corrected it in time. wouldnt be surprised if he bruised a rib there either, that was a blast.
cuzzo should just catch his own flight home to wherever he's from...how do you blow up your own dude? Come on, rook.
Joe Flacco...step it up, buddy. You look like shtein.
maybe collinsworth will stop blowing welker now
Wes WOWker....jesus man, are you serious?!
Maybe this will shut the reporters up for awhile about his velcro hands?
If you bet DEN that is a crushing turnover
rough quarter for punt returns

lol I said the same thing...not just Cris either...all goddamn week its been this Welker gangbang and it was getting old
week 1 waiver wire special julius thomas
yep...
know what else annoys me? The stupid "hey diddle diddle, Ray Rice.." line...
BTW....Peyton's arm is a wet noodle now. He's got nothin'....
Well well well...
that is a huge momentum shift.
Broncos up 11 now. blocked punt gave them great field position...
And ya know what...I like Collinsworth but I am shocked he's able to talk tonight. He's balls deep on Welker
Dallas Clark just got lit the farg up
farging collinsworth trys to say it must have felt so good for moore...after all the shtein he went thru in the offseason....like that was even .000000000000000001% redemption
prime example of trying to manufacture a storyline there...
anyways...wow, Baltimore's wheels have come off. They're an Olds '88 sitting on the side of the interstate smoldering and go up in flames.
FLOLacco....
HOLY shtein!
The DEN LB pulled a DeSean! Except he dropped it on the 1.5 yard line.
fargING IDIOT
Desean
Baltimore TEs....are you kidding me!?
Dickson has four drops
Clark has one drop for a TD...a fumble (negated by this penalty) and another drop when he got lit
John Harbaugh infected with Andy Reidisease
55 passes for Flacco so far
Cost me 6 D/ST points, mother farger
Peyton has 7TDs....this has been an entertaining game

I was waiting for that. He played great and all but the arm strength is gone. And he had wide open guys all night. If memory serves the majority of his completions were intermediate and short and he threw some floaters.
So yeah his arm isn't what it was and is prone to ducks now.
However he played great. And his post gamer dropping facts about Joe Kapp was impressive too.
He's setting up for his post-football career as Sunday Night Football's newest announcer.
so peyton manning sucks or something?
He should have had TEN!
He's clearly not elite like Joe Flacco.
how many td's is he going to throw week four?
should also be noted that it took mike vick until the middle of october to throw his seventh td last year
...and his 9th fumble
so a qb throws 7tds in one game for the first time since 1969 and yet there's negatives to be found ?

couldnt agree more...the hitting isnt even that big a deal to me tho trust me i love it...its the ridiculous advantage the offense is given...they are way to liberal on pass interference calls and in general the league has far to many penalties that ruin the flow of the game...the game is really bad right now
yeah remember when cb's were actually allowed to cover receivers ?
They were calling everything, like that one blatant pass interference that they didn't call but the guy caught it anyway. Put 'em all in dresses, rabble rabble.
it been that way for more than a few years....its to the point now where I literally have to pause after every stop/sack/turnover/incompletion and hold my emotions in until I hear or see that theres no flag because you literally expect one on every play...it almost ruins the experience of watching the game
and while the advantage is huge for the offense the penalty problem goes both ways....theres entirely too many period

how old are the people here
in MY day the game was awesome. there was hitting. IT WAS COOL.
no one cares
There will always be hitting, that's what makes football so great.
Great Defensive matchup and schemes were a thing of beauty. Go back and watch some of the late 80's Eagles games with Buddy's D. Every few years you'd get that REALLY good D.
Mid 80's Chicago's D
The Eagles had it in the late 80's early 90's.
Dallas had a great D in the mid 90's
The Ravens D late 90's early 2000
Tampa's D 2002
These Defenses would smother the offense to death. The closest we've seen to a dominating D since the Bucs was probably the Giants during their 2007 playoff run/SB. They had no business being in that game but their pass rush was legit.
One of the most memorable playoff games I ever watched was 99' when the Rams squared off against the Bucs. The Rams were putting a 30 spot up on everyone, they get to the Conference game against the Bucs and were held to 11 points. The Bucs D was so fun to watch that game. Look at the season results http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/ram/1999.htm
What we have now with these over the top offensive performances cheapens the game. It ruins the beautiful balance that was football. DBs are at too big of a disadvantage.
yeah the lack of hitting thing is way overrated...its not about that
Seattle defense could become a great one unless the HGH testing starts up.
What are people paying for directv sunday ticket now? Last year they dropped it to $199 for a promo but I doubt it can't be had that cheap now. Anyone know of how to get a good deal? The regular ticket is fine, I don't need the sunday max.

Thanks Phreak and Geo. $175 is a pretty reasonable price and it won't hurt to say I got DirTV last year mainly for the free sunday ticket, and will probably drop it once my contract is up in a few months if I can't get the ticket for $175.
I had DTV for years and dropped it when the bastiches started going over 200 a month on my ass. It's true I had every option but they wouldn't budge on price so I said see ya and got cable. Cable's now more expensive than DTV but I'm honestly too lazy and disinterested to change. I just pay em every month like an idiot when I what I should do is cancel it altogether.
Errands.
$200 per month for teevee is obscene. My monthly bill for television is zero.

We have the NFL Redzone available here now on our local cable provider. Speechless. Simply amazing. farg going to the sports bar at 7 am from now on.
is the nfl redzone the same as the college one?....because the college one sucks
i feel like weve had this conversation before...and how dont you know what red zone is
the college one is specifically for espn games. plus they for whatever reason, even though they have plenty of lower-tier games they could cut to, keep the rotation to the 2-4 big games on their networks. its stupid.
red zone has all the afternoon games to pick from and is perhaps the best possible way an individual could spend 3 hours of their life. though it is not a good way to watch an eagles game. but when they arent playing, like today, its GRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT
Honey Badger saves a TD, catching Jared Cook from behind and punching the ball out at the 3
Torn ACL/MCL for Pouncey

just so i understand it tho you cant watch a game straight thru on it and you cant control whats on the screen right...its basically for fantasy people who just wanna see scores?
They show every kickoff, they show a little bit of the bigger games, then they jump to any games where someone's in the redzone (sometimes double and triple-screen), and they also cover long TDs, turnovers, injuries, etc. 7 hours straight and there's maybe 2 or 3 breaks
yes and gambling people who want to know whats going on
if you want to control which game you watch you get the ticket
so red zone is a like the ultimate example of everything thats wrong with society as a whole and represents how awful sports fans are these days
??
lol @ IGY
ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm no?
Correct igy, the ESPN college version is a joke. I watched it yesterday for a bit and it was weak. Right now with only two games on, is awesome. Basically every play so far from both games.
RedZone is awesome.
I click between that and whatever game(s) interest me most

Its like a channel that switches between games...same thing you'd do with your remote...they do it for you when something big happens.
If you want to settle in on a game...then you put that channel on.
it doesn't allow you to get the feel of a game...to study it and get a sense of momentum or play calling or why a play might have worked because of something that happened thruout and/or earlier in the game

The redzone is like 20 bones for the year. It's the greatest television invention ever. It's better than when I had Direct tv. Then you would have to channel surf and you'd miss big plays because you were watching another game. The redzone goes right to the action as it's happening.
