Whenever Stockton calls the game, it's pretty much a guaranteed loss, but then we get Lynch talking about the good ol days with his boy Ronde.

I think this is the 2nd sellout of the year in Tampa.  As of 3 days ago it wasn't.  Damn Philly fans causing problems again
Title: Re: Tampa Talk
Post by: ice grillin you on December 06, 2012, 12:14:27 PM
its sold out because they are celebrating the ten year anniversary of their sb win

i wonder if they will be honoring blaine bishop

i dont understand what you are saying?

without the celebration its gets nowhere near a sell out....you understand that from the day the celebration was announced until now there are a lot of people who bought tickets because of it?
Title: Re: Tampa Talk
Post by: BigEd76 on December 06, 2012, 12:57:44 PM
and I'm saying it still wasn't close to a sellout as of Monday or Tuesday.  The map had Tampa blacked out up until yesterday.
Title: Re: Tampa Talk
Post by: ice grillin you on December 06, 2012, 01:49:24 PM
thats actually incorrect...its still not sold out....they passed the 85% mark to avoid the blackout in tha last couple of days...that could have meant selling ten more tickets
Title: Re: Tampa Talk
Post by: Sgt PSN on December 06, 2012, 02:00:10 PM
Why on earth would Eagles fans be buying up tickets to the Bucs game now?  I mean, I get it if 15k Eagles fans buy tickets back in Aug or Sept, but not a few days before the game when the Eagles are just a putrid laughingstock.

I'm guessing that even though the SB Anniversary celebration was probably on the schedule 6 months ago, Tampa fans are just now realizing it and are buying tix to see John Lynch and Mike Alstott one more time.

just because they hit the 85% mark of tickets sold today doesnt mean there was a rush of tickets in the last couple days....they could have been 150 tickets short

The play before was really nice though.  I thought he was going to get sammiched and he just took a quick step up and then ran out to his right.  A stronger throw might have gotten Avant into the endzone (or at least further down field), but whatevs.

I like what I see from him so far.  I'm not proclaiming him to be on Andrew Luck level or anything, but he seems to have all the tools necessary to be a good qb....tall, accurate, good arm, good football IQ, etc.  Only question is whether or not he puts it all together.

how many INT's should this dude have?

Half as many as Freeman in this game.

no doubt about that.  so far though, in each of his games so far he's had at least 2 dropped picks.

i'll admit it was kind of nice to see what an actual passer can do with what's left of the offense.  in all fairness though the buc's defense plays into reid's style of offense (pass pass pass punt).

to summarize. why win now scum bags?  so now they'll win out and get another mediocre draft pick to screw up.  sounds good.

I too prefer it when they screw up a top three pick.  It's so much more satisfying than when they screw up a mid round pick.

When they got the ball back with 2+ min left, I was hoping that Foles would quickly lead them downfield for the go ahead score but still leave enough time for the ST or Def to blow it.  Sucks that they won but it's also nice to see Foles step up in crunch time.

I just want Reid gone.

Who they hire a couple of months from now really doesn't mean spit to me tonight.

Also...

Quote"That's just a quarterback knowing what's going on and knowing that's what the defense was giving us," said Jeremy Maclin, who like Avant surpassed 100 yards Sunday. "He saw what they were doing and just came up with something he thought would work against it."

Avant said he wasn't sure whether Foles or Mornhinweg came up with the play. Mornhingweg said it was all Foles.

Foles just shrugged it all off.

"It's just playing ball, I don't know what to tell you," he said. "They have split safeties, so the middle of the field is open. So the big thing is,you don't want to lure a safety in with your eyes -- you try to keep your eyes away and get him the ball. ... Jason ran a great route. I got time."

Absolutely ridiculous.  The guy draws a fargin play up in the dirt and it works.  What's pathetic is the quarterback thought it up and the dipshteins with the binders full of offensive plays did not.

Just retain Duce.  His reaction today to the winning touchdown was the only highlight of 2012.

I love Duce.  His reaction today was epic.  A nothing win in a forgettable season and he loses it like he just won the Super Bowl.

He was in for one play. That makes him more deserving than Chad Lewis.

Duce had more contact in that video than DRC had all year.
