Cowboys vs. Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles will host the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday, October 30th at Lincoln Financial Field. At halftime, please celebrate with us as we induct two Eagles greats into the Philadelphia Eagles Honor Roll: Cornerback Eric Allen and Defensive Coordinator Jim Johnson.
The Eagles are also continuing to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer care and research in support of the Tackling Breast Cancer campaign. Visit the Eagles Pro Shop to purchase pink hats and t-shirts to raise funds. Proceeds of the Tackling Breast Cancer campaign merchandise will benefit Breast Cancer care and research in the Philadelphia area.
We are encouraging all Eagles fans to arrive early this Sunday. Please give yourself some extra time to arrive to the stadium and enter through the gates to get to your seats and not miss a minute of the action as we kick-off at 8:20PM. We've included a list of the average gate wait times to better assist you in planning for your arrival. We suggest coming at least an hour early to avoid waiting in line. Follow @LFFStadium on Twitter or bookmark on your smartphone for real-time gate line time information.
Average Gate Wait Times:
1-3 Hours Prior to Kickoff – NO WAIT
30 Minutes Prior to Kickoff – Minimum of 15 Minutes
15 Minutes Prior to Kickoff – Minimum of 28 Minutes
Thank you for your support and see you this Sunday. GO EAGLES!
i went in an hour before the 49er game and i waited at least 30 minutes
yeah they are so full of shtein
They do realize that they haven't exactly put a product on the field that's worth waiting for, don't they?
I went to that snowed out Tuesday night game last year vs the Vikings and it was actually the longest wait I've ever had to get into the stadium. The lines weren't any longer than what I've experienced in the past either, it just took longer. In fact, I'd say that the length of the lines was actually shorter than usual because there were a lot no shows for that game.
I wonder how long Lurie has to wait?
Well I assume that his dedication involves sleeping on a cot in the stadium, so he's already there.
I need an extra if anyone has one...my sister decided last night she wants to come
for fear you beating my face in...please consider my inappropriate comment preemptively deleted
Well-played.

I know that this is short notice, but I have a ticket for tonight to get rid of at face value if anyone wants it.
The Havas pig...which was 3/4 done when I got there:

that pig was delicious. and that game was fun as shtein. my train was an hour late getting back to dc so i didn't get home until almost 4, and i had this breakfast function i had to go to this morning so i haven't slept yet. also still a little effed up.
Didn't get home till after midnight (made a Wawa trip). Woke up around 4 to throw up. Good times.
We parked right next to the guy in the costume. Unless there was another bunch there with a pig like that under a white tent thing, I walked right by there going in, would have stopped but I was with a couple girls who were there for the first time and they wanted to walk the stadium. I did see some huge latino looking guy, until you looked at his eyes and then he looked more asian.
that was probably sunny
...or a farged up Havas.
Sunny looks latasian?

He's got that olive colored skin, he could pass for a lot of different races. To tell you the truth I have no farging idea what nationality he is.
His nationality is American. His ethnicity is what you are looking for.
Granted, I've only met the dude a couple of times and it was during football season, so maybe he lost his tan, but he looked pretty white to me.
I only made the asian reference because it looked like whoever I saw was so blasted his eyes looked like slits. But, of course, that was probably all of you guys. I had a strong buzz myself. I'd never been to a night game at the linc, and I have to say it was the drunkest crowd of any game I've ever been too, at any stadium. I love football games in philly, it's unlike anywere else you can go. The traffic was so bad we walked to McFaddens to let it die down a little, and they were still partying strong in there. Girls jumping on tables and the bar dancing, it was great. One of the best times I've ever had at a game.

Since SB was obviously parked near Havas and I know exactly where Havas parks, I don't know what the problem was. Not that I ever strolled right out after a game, but I could get from the lot to 95 in probably a half hour, give or take a few. Always seemed pretty reasonable.
Getting out of FedEx was awful and I stayed in the parking lot for a good hour or so after the game too. Farg that.
i left after their last touchdown and from ignition to 95 took less than two minutes

LOL. The only game I've left early for was the Tennessee game in 06 (I think) when McNabb tore his ACL. Didn't see the point in sticking around for that one and decided to get a head start on my drive back to NC.
We didn't have much choice for parking, left late because one guy who was going crapped out on us after his daughter bought the tickets, thats the one I was trying to get rid of. We parked were we had too.
i leave early all the time, as long as the game is not in doubt i'm all about missing traffic
i cant wait until you miss them come back from a 3-touchdown deficit in the final 4 minutes
nothing like getting home 15 minutes earlier than everyone else

Sorry chief, but I went to probably a dozen games in 05/06 and was driving about 10 hours from the game straight to NC to go to work the next day at 730 am and didn't leave early (The Tenn game being the lone exception). So I'm not going to have a lot of sympathy for your 90 minute commute.
You will stay for the entire game or you can go live in MA.

I usually park in C 6 along the fence adjacent to Broad. There are two ways to get back to 95. Once you exit the one closest to 95, stay in the right (every one bunches in the left two lanes) then whip around through the light and stay right. Then stay right still and merge (everyone still bunches left). The other option is the far gate where the Spectrum used to be, that gate is sometimes hard to get out of (wasn't last night). You just cross over broad and stay right till you get onto 95. Didn't take us long to get out of there last night, especially considering a lot of the crowd bled out through the 3rd and 4th quarter.

Christ-the game was done, it was cold as farg, traffic blows--go home. Nobody to impress here.
Maybe it was my level of intoxication but it wasn't cold at all last night. The temperature might have read 40 but there was no wind. I walked into the stadium with jacket and gloves on then took them off once I got to my seat.
On a bad day, it takes me 20 minutes to get onto 95S. And i stay to the end.
Last night I got caught in a line of yahoos who didn't know what to do, and it added 5 minutes to my time. still, things moved along reasonably well.
When I lived in Jersey I rarely stayed until the end unless it was close. Whenever I go to a game now, whether it's in Philly or on the road, I stay till the end. I would rather sit comfortably in my seat for 20 minutes until the crowd files out, then take another 20 minutes to let the last of the traffic wind down, then leave the area in a leisurely pace.
I will say that night games I'm more apt to leave early because I've undoubtedly been partying all day (and usually the Friday & Saturday before) and as a result I'm generally worn out altogether.
Oh, and yesterday was the first game I can remember where (1) I didn't have a sip of booze beforehand and (2) I listened to the broadcast from start to finish. Thank God they won because television broadcasts are horrendous beyond words.
I never understood the need to leave early to beat the traffic. If I was that afraid of traffic, I'd just stay the hell home and save a bunch of money. I paid for the game, and I'll see the whole damned thing.
Then again, if the weather sucks, and it's pretty uncomfortable, I'll start heading out after the two minute warning.

Exactly.
You're all farging idiots.
I got cuffed by an undercover in a TO jersey 5 minutes before kickoff - fun times. I gave the guy shtein because he told me he's never been to Texas Stadium and 10 seconds later, 6 cops swarm and I'm cuffed.
I'm no lawyer, but theres got to be something illegal with having undercover cops, wearing opposing jerseys, instigating with fans, with the hopes of getting some added city revenue. I'm all for them being there - but handle the people that need to be handled; not the ones who are just having some fun.
Dicks.
same thing happened to one of my seatmates before the san fran game....altho im sure he was much more belligerent than you its still all bullshtein....they should not be speaking to you at all or its entrapement as far as im concerned...if you walked up to a dallas fan and dumped a beer on their head fine...but cuffing people for standard shtein talking btwn fans?....thats outrageous
btw i was tellin sunny in our seats that i was never more proud of eagle fans than i was sunday night for how few dallas fans i saw

Exactly, and that's all it was. I told the farger too, that I was given 100X worse shtein in Dallas and took it like a man. The whole system is farged.
Oh, and to make it worse - I called the Eagles "guest services" yesterday to complain and I swear I was talking to some farging putz studying PR at Drexel. I hate this organization more and more each week.

Undercover pigs can suck my cork. Nothing better to do than hassle Eagles fans, huh iceholes? farg you, Nutter.
Wait, so this is all legit and not some corny joke? DH actually got cuffed and booted for basic shtein talking? More to the point, city tax dollars are actually being spent to dress Philly PD officers up in opposing team's jerseys for the sole purpose of arresting people who engage in some smack talk with them?
Farg this. I'm moving to Commie China where I might not have rights, but at least they're up front about it.
DH, if there's no risk of backlash from your job, I'd take this straight to the media. I'm sure the city tax payers would love hearing about this.
Take your story to the media. I'm sure they won't be able to find any unflattering pictures of you to use.
Bazinga!
If there's a threat or a verbal assault, I can understand legal action. If it's just a fan talking shtein, it's crap.
IGY, it was also crap for the little "infraction" that your guy did. The PC nonsense is getting really out of hand. I understand trying to curb misbehavior, but they're really over the top with the overreaction.
They're doing exactly what they said they would. Lurie wanted the iron workers out and he wanted the stockbrokers in.
Mission accomplished.
farg them and their fascist bullshtein.
You're also saying that ironworkers only have the capacity to act like violent mongoloids. Although, with football fans, that is usually the case, there are exceptions to the rule. Some can find a way to act like civil mongoloids. Some.
Yeah, the stockbrokers.
I can't believe what farging iceholes they are. Not only kicking Sunmo out for nothing, but on top of that the warning to IGY, like he's supposed to control someone else's behavior? And you're right IGY, it is entrapment. The choice of the TO jersey alone shows how they are trying to provoke people and goad them into a situation where they can jump on them even for petty shtein. Next thing you know they'll be trying to confiscate your nutsack at the gate.
SunMo didn't get kicked out. He left early because there was a pancake social early in the morning at the moose lodge.

not to mention philly cops are about as un PC as you can get
I actually wasnt thrown out - the dickhead went into my wallet to get my ticket and saw my gov't ID and told me I should be ashamed of myself for acting the way I did..They didn't even take me down to see Seamus. The whole thing lasted no more than 5 minutes..Then after they came over to break up a brawl a quarter later, one of the UC's came over to me and started laughing....I asked him what the hell they were going to arrest me for, and he said my actions were "aggressive and rowdy" and I was gonna go down for disorderly conduct. I've been disorderly before; this time I was not. He continued to then tell me how ashamed I should be of my actions..
I'm all about getting this story out - LET'S DO THIS.
i cant believe you got cuffed but not thrown out...to me if you didnt get thrown out there isnt much of a story....the cuffed part kind of it is...thats ridiculous....
but police have been in visiting team jerseys and stadium security has been scolding people for that kind of stuff since the linc opened...not saying its right and i wish security was more lax but it didnt cost you any money you didnt miss the game and your account didnt get put on notice so i dont see the huge deal...certainly not enough to get it out in the papers....all the security would say was that you were belligerent and threatening towards one of their people in a dallas jersey and that they felt you needed to be held back for a minute but then were let go and allowed to stay
id write the eagles about being cuffed though for sure
I called them yesterday and spoke to a kid who sounded like he was as hungover as I was.
It shouldn't matter one bit whether or not I was thrown out - especially considering I would have been without my ID card. It's not right to have these iceholes at the games in opposing jerseys waiting for you to speak so they can throw some cuffs on and look like king cop. It's an abuse of power and I'm farging tired of it.

That's all well and good, but that means it still comes out of the team's operating budget, which is still paid for by fans.
I don't have a problem with undercovers at the game. Don't even care if they are paid for by the team or the city. What I have a problem with is the fact that they are more or less baiting Eagles fans into engaging with them and then cuffing them and booting them from the game. Especially during a Dallas game.....everyone is amped for that game and they know damn well that if they throw some cops in Dallas gear that people are going to say shtein to them.

are you sure he wasnt a cop who legitimately was a giant fan...im not saying they didnt do it back then but i never noticed it until the linc and with the amount of open debauchery that went on at the vet it seems hard to believe that this was a practice...shtein at the vet there would be brawls that security would sometimes just let play out...kinda like hockey refs
He might have been just an off duty cop, but I think I remember him being there for other games. It was interesting that in cases where he started something with the other fans, he could get out of it by showing his badge.

** And if you do punch me in the face, I'll call security now that they have you on record.***
*** I wouldn't really call security.

He hung up on DH after keeping him on hold for like 8 hours? That's kind of funny*.

haha it wasn't like the ignorant hang out thing, it's just what all those sports talk guys do. Instead of giving you a chance to finish up and say goodbye they just say "Annnd thanks for your call! *blah blah blah*"
But yeah if I heard him correctly he was saying well what's the point of saying anything to the guy?...which is where I disagreed with him. It's shtein talking, it happens. It's not a big deal
I'm sure I know where he's going with it, saying that if fans keep to themselves there won't be any escalation that leads to violence at the stadium, which is probably true. And if everyone just followed the law, there'd be no criminals.
So if that's the case and if stadium fights/violence is what the Eagles are truly concerned with, then they should just put in a dress code that says you can't wear opposing team's gear into the stadium, because that's just as ridiculous as putting the cuffs on someone and booting them for talking a little smack.
The real problem here is that the Eagles are basically targeting their own fans. I'm curious if they ever have their undercovers dress up in Eagles gear and do the same thing to visiting fans.
I gave him Mike's full name and phone number, so he might have thought Jeff from Philly was an imposter. I didn't have time today to get back in touch with them or do a follow up. I'm gonna see what I can do about getting the audio since I missed it.
like i said no one will care....maybe if you got arrested and rodney kinged...at minimum youd have to get your season tickets away
the undercover jersey thing has been going on forever
The point is it needs to stop. If no one bothers to complain about it, it won't. The Eagles are nothing if not cowardly when it comes to bad publicity, so if enough people raise a stink about it, there's at least a glimmer of a shot they'll change their policies.
people bitched about for a couple years after it started....nothing happened and nothing will...
especially now with all the attention violence at sporting events and nfl games has gotten...in fact at this point it wouldnt suprise me to find out that even if teams wanted to stop doing this that the nfl would even allow them to
How is dressing up in a TO Dallas jersey and soliciting negative responses helping to fight bad fan behavior? I'm missing the connection here.
because they are trying to cut down on the knucklehead factor at games...and its knuckleheads that are going to go after visiting jerseys....take away season tickets from the kenzo mob at games = less violence
im not defending it...i wish there were more visitng team fan deaths at the linc...im just telling you that nobody cares and its not going to change because die hard got a warning
Classic IGY playing devils advocate.
Wow - what a load of bullshtein by them to do this shtein. I hope that you keep after them for this, DH. Thrown out of not the fact that they restrained you in handcuffs for something as small as shtein talking while using the guise of disorderly conduct is a goddamn crying shame.
If they want to curb violence and disorderly conduct then they need to up the uniformed presence or even at the very least put the UC's there in plainclothes but don't entrap people with opposing jersey's and most certainly do not handcuff them for shtein talking!
I understand wanting to reduce the knuckleheads - like the people who pissed on the taterskins fans legs while in the bathroom a few years ago while I was there - but for shtein talking? Not a fight. Not a fight. We talkin' about shtein talking!

you are a semi literate redneck but you cant be this dumb....its actually the opposite of what you say....not only am i not playing devils advocate i actually agree with everyone (as i said in my posts that you didnt read or didnt understand)....for god sakes im promoting as much violence even up to death on opposing fans as possible
but what im saying is this issue was taken up almost ten years ago and no one cared then....certainly no one is going to care now...i had a friend actually get kicked out of the stadium for this a month ago and i didnt speak a word about it here because its a non issue....and trying to make it into one is not going to work...especially when we are in an ultra heightened time of violence at nfl games
jesus explaining simple shtein to people is really starting to get to me
Simple is simple does.
When they go to check your ticket, eat it.
Just to be clear...
I'm not so much upset at the actual event that too place (cuffed, then let go), but the principle that:
1. there are UC's (whether or not they have been since the Linc opened - which I'm well aware of) waiting for you to look at them, so they can engage you in some shtein in hopes of making some added revenue for the city, Linc, whoever..
2. I would have been tossed had I not had my ID on me
3. I've seen brawls, pot-smoking, foul language, etc all happen in front of me, and nary a cop - uniformed or UC - has come to hold order, throw people out, etc
Honestly, I'm over it - On Monday night, when I see the same farg in a Lance Briggs jersey, I will make sure to tell anyone I see talking to him that he's a pig.
I think I'm really just pissed because I didn't enjoy the Dallas ass-kicking nearly as much as I should have..
on a positive note, at least for me, two years ago and even a little last year they were nazis about smoking in the concourse. now if you're basically within 20 yards of a railing they don't give a farg where you smoke.

I hope you get the chance to do this.
Time to start up a new internet venture. Upload pictures of the undercover cops at sporting events, and rank each building in terms of police presence and dickery.
If it makes as much money as :CF, you can retire to the Mississippi delta!

I hope when he stands up you get a chance to squirt a wad of crazy glue on his seat. shtein will soak through pants if you use enough.
stayed til the end last night of course because of the situation...and it took me 70 more minutes to get home.
i think i'll stick to being a bad fan when it's a blowout.
