But Bruce Sutter gets in.

These dudes are from the era of my life when I was a massive baseball fan (before I realized that real athletes play contact sports). In my opinion they all deserve to be voted in, but the only one that drives me nuts is Jack Morris. He dominated in just about every way for just about his entire career. He was money in the post season and pitched one of the most amazing games I've ever seen (game 7, world series, 10-inning shutout). No one in that era was as good as he was and the chances are he'll never make the hall in spite of being the ace on every staff he was on, starting a few all-star games, throwing a no hitter, being clutch in the post season and leading all pitchers in wins over the course of his career, which is bullshtein. farg baseball.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Rome

Bert Blyleven had 287 wins in his career and threw more complete games in a year by himself than an entire staff would throw all year in this era.

Goose Gossage wasn't some Hoyda who threw a few pitches and got a save.  He would pitch 2, sometimes 3 innings a night to earn a measelly save.

The writers should have the vote stripped from them.  Their omission alone should be proof that the writers are farging toolbags.

PhillyPhreak54

Dumbass baseball writers.

Andre Dawson, Jim Rice, Bert "Be home" Blyleven and Goose Gossage all should be going in.

Funny thing is that I think some that have been shunned should be in before Sutter.  Sutter belongs in, though.

Here's Sutter's record:
1.  Bruce Sutter: 400 votes.

  • Won World Series with Cardinals in 1982.
  • 40+ saves once (45 in 1984), 30+ three times, 20+ five times in 12 seasons.

Didn't Dawson win an MVP award too?  In 86 or 87?     ???

I want to say it was 87 when he had that massive year but I'm not certain.

You are correct.  I thought I had it in there- I'll be adding it now.

There's a guy coming up in a couple of years that would have my vote:

Tim Raines.

Absolutely awesome player when he played in Montreal.  The guy had power, hit for average, played great defense, stole about a million bases, and had a gun for an arm in his early days.

He hit a screaming line drive one night when I was out in the left field seats at the Vet that nearly killed my ass.   :-D

I still have the ball that I got him to autograph the next day.  He wasn't going to sign it until I told him he almost killed me with it the day before.  He laughed and said, "sure kid, no problem."

Still one of my favorites...   :yay

It's all good man.  I'm here to point out everyone's mistakes.  It's what I do.  :)

Definately.  That guy could do it all and he had a pretty nice jerry curl going on too.  Ability and style.  Now that's HOF material.

way to zesty up the hof guys...only the best of the best get in...its the last hof that has any dignity at all...it should be kept that way...all these players were great but they werent hof's...except for perhaps blyleven

the only reason any of these clowns get in at all is that they have the luxury of  classes that are terrible and the voters feel as if someone has to get in...unfortunately this will continue as looking ahead after this next year are 3 years with garbage candidates...except ricky....so expect some more of these marginal guys...most likely Rice and Gossage to get in 08 ro 09...
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

IMO Jack Morris isn't borderline. He should be a farging lock. These voters are idiots.

Are you trying to say that the NFL Hall of Fans has no dignity?

ice grillin you

the nfl hall voting is a joke...not only are there some players in who shouldnt be but the politics of getting people in is ridiculous because they only have something like 40 hof voters...so what happens is the bias of one or two voters means something compared with baseball and it voter numbers being in the hundreds
