i was in Virginia for work last week, and the only non-fast food place to eat near me was an Iron Skillet...whoo boy, that was bad

i got a ribeye that had no flavor whatsoever....i asked for medium and it came out whatever is less than rare

I'm mocking myself for ever starting this retarded thread.

And by mocking, I mean masturbating while looking at pictures of Jessica Alba & Rosario Dawson embracing each other in a clearly sexual way.

Are you pretending you're eating slabs of bacon out of Jessica's ass?

Sort of.  The bacon is lodged in both their snatches and I'm deciding which way to proceed.

I do like other chains but none I'd admit too.

So, you're a lapdog of the elitist leftists on this thread?

Not really, just didn't feel like defending why I like eating at certain places, but since you called me on it, here goes:

Fridays - Not really a big fan but their Flat Iron Steak is delicious. The portion is small, though
Bennigans - My friend works there so I get discounted grub (and she's the head bartender so free beer), food isn't anything special but their Potato soup is really good.
Applebees - only ate there once and had some burger-quessidilla with cheese thing that was surprisingly good
Ruby Tuesdays - Spinach Dip was good but the rest of the meal was forgettable
Longhorns - had the filet with a side of Lobster - hard to mess that up. Had some fried lobster with cheese thing as an appetizer that was delicous.
On the Border - Loved it when I was in SD, ate at the one near the Neshanimy mall and it was only so so.
Cracker Barrel - Best breakfast on the planet
Red Robin - Great Burgers. The unlimited Fries are a nice surprise
Champs - overpriced and my steak was dry
99 - surprisingly large menu. Food was good but nothing to write home about
Bone Fish - Bang Bang shrimp was out of this world. Had the filet which is hard to mess up
Olive Garden - don't think they're as bad as the general opinion on this board. They have some decent pasta dishes.

And like I said earlier, my favorite chain restaurant and about the only one I'll go out of my way to eat as is Outback.

The BIGSTUD

Nifty Fifties has amazing shakes. That is about it. I go there sometimes for shakes. I rarely go to restaurants.

I hate going to restaurants in general. I don't want to wait for food when I'm hungry, and I don't want to tip either. So farg restaurants all together. I'd much rather go around to a deli and get a nice turkey hoagie or an italian hoagie with some sweet peppers and oregano. Or go around and get a meatball parm from Sarcone's or a Soprano from Primo's.

I'm a sandwich guy.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

i'll be the first to say, this thread got unnecessarily contentious

there's a place at the hard rock casino in vegas called mr. lucky's.  kinda diner-ish type of place but it's basically right off the main casino floor.  anyway, it's not listed on the menu, but they have a shrimp and steak deal for $7.77.  i got it one night as late night muchies around 3 AM, then the next morning i went down and ate it again for breakfast.  good shtein.

I'm not opposed to chains, but I'm not big on the ones on that list.  Of the ones on that list that I've eaten at, I'd only go back to Longhorn.  It isn't as good as Outback, but it's okay in a pinch.

As far as the Chains go, I'll go back to:

Outback
Joe's American Bar and Grill
Chili's
Longhorn
Macaroi Grill
Arthur's Steakhouse
Mortons-- but that probably doesn't count as a chain in this context ;)
Houlihans, but only as a last resort.
